ďThe gift of mental power comes from God, Divine Being, and if we concentrate our minds on that truth, we become in tune with this great power. My Mother had taught me to seek all truth in the Bible.Ē

Nikola Tesla

It is paradoxical, yet true, to say, that the more we know, the more ignorant we become in the absolute sense, for it is only through enlightenment that we become conscious of our limitations. Precisely one of the most gratifying results of intellectual evolution is the continuous opening up of new and greater prospects.

From this article^^
Florida isnít the only state to report Vibrio vulnificus infections. Alabama, Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi have also recorded cases, and a 2013 outbreak linked to contaminated shellfish sickened at least 104 people in 13 states, according to the CDC.

The CDC recommends the following precautions to avoid Vibrio vulnificus infections:
Avoid exposing open wounds to warm saltwater, brackish water or to raw shellfish
Wear protective clothing when handling raw shellfish
Cook shellfish thoroughly and avoid food contamination with juices from raw seafood
Eat shellfish promptly after cooking and refrigerate leftovers

Re: The most important read of your life....
Hi everyone.

This is going to take a bit of explaining, so please bear with me. I'll put the important warnings (taking responsibility for the dangers I have exposed others to being the purpose of my return here) up front. These are things that I should have known initially, and that I am shocked no one shared with me. However, I am also shocked that I did not find them out myself sooner. All one has to do is search the names of any of the teachers I have shared here alongside the word "heresy" and pursue the matter with patience and Berean sincerity.

At the time I made these posts, I was fond of the practice of praying for a video to share and then selecting from the freshly recommended videos on YouTube what I felt I was being led to share. Sadly, I had yet to fully discern the difference between faith and carelessness. I was clueless as to what the OP was referring to when he mentioned mind-control, and I'm still baffled as to why he didn't say more. My wife (who is now legally my wife and not just by mutual commitment before God - we got married shortly after finding a church) and I ended up in a church prone to and based on the same occult mind-controlling practices as Bethel Church in Redding, CA, but I'll mention more on that later in this post.

The worship songs I shared here were new to me when I shared them, and I hoped they would be an encouragement. They seemed relevant to and challengingly coincidental with the material to which I was responding. It turned out they were performed at the un-Biblical Bethel Church.

William Branham is a notorious false prophet and cult-leader. The video I shared of him was the first I had ever heard/heard of/seen him.

Kris Volloton's ministry is based in Bethel Church, and he is also a false prophet.

Todd White seems to be primarily confused and lacking in wisdom, though he does make some good points, and listening to his preaching brought me great conviction of . I have read unsubstantiated accusations hurled against him that I won't repeat here, but his teaching is indeed unbalanced, often lacking in gentleness, and weighing extremely heavily on the side of blunt affection and motivational speaking and awfully light on the side of the sinfulness of man and the righteous judgment of God. He seems to have an alarming emphasis on human value in the eyes of God as the source of Christian motivation and of the motivation of God in the act of the crucifixion, rather than on the glory of the Jealous, Almighty God in the satisfaction of His sense of justice at the cross. I used to think he was merely prone to over-emphasizing a different aspect of the crucifixion out of a nervous reaction to a perceived ideological need, but my eyes have now been opened to the truth that Todd is actually distorting the manifold wisdom of God in the crucifixion of the Messiah and not presenting his teachings in light of the full counsel of God.

On the surface Dan Mohler seems to be preaching the most sound message of the teachers shared here, though it seems pretty clear that he is at least misguided in his discernment. I am still not sure if he is simply subtler than the other false teachers or if he is somehow merely blind to the false teachings of those with whom he fellowships, but he has been frequently associated with false teachers. I have found no direct claims of heresy against him, though I have found a warning that Neck Ministries, which he pastors, has ties to Sozo ministries ( [link to simplyheavenlyfood.tumblr.com] which has strong ties to Bethel. Though I have not heard him espouse Bethelís most troubling teachings, nor have I heard him endorse the outrageously un-Biblical mystical psychotherapy methods of Sozo, a few important facets of Bethelís practices ought to be noted. Bill Johnson, the senior pastor of Bethel, endorses the notorious Todd Bentleyís ministry, claims and concentrates on extra-Biblical revelation, scoffs at those who rely on and insist on testing the spirits via the protocol established in 1 John, and denies the deity of Christ. Subsequently, the discernment of anyone who is tied to the Bethel ministry is inherently questionable.

Once the emphasis of Dan's message is discerned in light of the emphasis of Scripture, it becomes clear that he has fallen prey to the same misguided agenda as Todd (he was actually the one present for Todd's conversion experience and mentored Todd) - the attempt to get ourselves into the center of our lives, when the life lived in Christ has God as its center. I have found some vague yet troubling overlap between his teaching and the Sozo philosophy here: [link to sites.google.com (secure)]

His teaching on this aspect of Christian life, while vague enough to be considered by some possible misinterpretation to be roughly equivalent to some decontextualized passages of Scripture, seems to replace the tone and focus of Scripture with a more worldly, self-help-oriented, self-focused perspective, an outlook that I used to mistake for a simple expression of innocent joy at the gift of salvation, but one that I now cannot help but see as dangerous, misguided, and problematic, especially when espoused by a pastor. It seems to basically ignore Godís call to joyful self-denial and to the paramount concentration not just on what God has done for us but, most importantly, on Who HE IS. In this light, it's difficult to not recognize Dan Mohler as a false teacher, at least of discipleship training, though in my immaturity as a believer I currently reserve the possibility that I misunderstand his teaching and that he may not be an altogether false witness, but merely one blinded by ignorance. However, at the very least, his tolerance, or what seems more likely to be his ignorance, of the doctrines of demons at Bethel leave me with the likely possibility that his lack of discernment is misleading others and that he is therefore a false teacher and not a sound source of guidance in discipleship.

So, I caution you all not to allow yourself to be taught by any of the people I have shared here, as all (with the possible but unlikely exception of Dan) are false teachers. I am deeply sorry and grieved at having spread their reach further in my ignorance, but I hope this can correct some of the damage that such actions may have done.

So here's the story behind why I disappeared for so long and why I'm back now of all times:

This is the last day this account will be active.

I didn't think this account would still be active, but I was deceived, believing this one-month subscription was to be only one month with the notification of an option to extend the subscription as opposed to an automatic renewal. My wife and I checked her bank account the first two times this renewal happened and noticed no change in the balance, so we assumed someone had upgraded our account for us. This strange absence of withdrawals from our account persisted until the end of January when we were charged for the month of February.

Subsequently, until February, we were not yet aware that this is an automatically upgrading account, since nothing of the kind was mentioned in the subscription process. We subscribed to finally overcome the unexplained and uncommunicative bans of every IP address we posted from (including numerous wi-fi hotspots).

My wife and I had felt for some time that we needed to back off from GLP for a while, and find a place to fellowship and discuss matters with other believers face to face. At the beginning of last August, we came into a church that seemed to be exactly what we had been hoping for. Initially we were elated to be a part of it, as it seemed so similar to what had drawn us to the teachers we shared on this website and from whom we had been receiving instruction. We became less and less active on GLP as we became more involved in that church. However, it was not long until we noticed inconsistencies between what the Scriptures explicitly say and what our newfound church was practicing.

As we read more in Godís Word, we felt more and more convicted that these things we had thought were okay were wrong, and that the people putting them forward were leading ourselves and others astray. Thatís when we began to search the internet to see if anyone else had found these teachings and their proponents to be false. And indeed, others had. As I said, all one ever has to do is Google search ď[name] heresyĒ and if anyone has found any fault in that person or their teachings, it will be evident.

So I read the articles of the people who found inconsistencies between these teachers and the Bible, what the Bible itself said (in context Ė itís mind boggling how often false teachers take Scripture out of context to support their agenda [2 Peter 3:15-17]), and the defenses of those being criticized. Without fail, their facades of godliness crumbled in the light of truth. My wife and I confronted the pastors of the church we were attending with all we had found showing his ministry, his role models, and the whole movement they were associated with to be un-Biblical, and they refused to listen.

By then we were certain of two things: the first was that we had to leave that church, and the second was that we had to warn the people with whom we shared these false teachers. But quite frankly, we felt lost. We had been traumatized by our time in that church and the process of leaving it, and didnít feel able or ready to adequately explain the truth here. We knew we needed to, and we trusted that we would know when it was time to come back here and lay out our wrongs and our findings.

Now, here we are. The last day of our subscription, and the first day it hasnít seemed like a Sisyphean feat to expose the lies of those who deceived us. Perhaps it was only fear that stopped me from writing this sooner, as now it seems like a simple matter.

Regardless, I again apologize for sharing such heretical teachers. There are many false doctrines out there, and it is easy to be deceived into accepting them if we donít approach all things with discernment. Do not follow or trust something simply because it sounds good, or feels good, or even quotes the Bible; nor should you flee something simply because it is hard for you to accept Ė rather test all teaching against the Scripture (Acts 17:10-12; 2 Timothy 2:15; 2 Timothy 3:10-4:5; Titus 1:7-9; 2 Peter 1:3-21; 2 Peter 3), and test all spirits (1 John 4:1-3).

Iím still an immature believer, and I know it can be hard to know how to compare things with Scripture and where to begin searching, as I am still building my knowledge of the Bible, and that is why I now always search for claims of heresy against a teacher or doctrine before making up my mind on it. Itís not to let others decide for me, but since my knowledge of the Bible is still incomplete, it is a tremendous aid to at least be able to be pointed to passages of concern, to have a starting point for comparing Godís Word to the teaching of a man.

Just an interesting observation, but since this thread was posted, there still hasn't been a hurricane in the gulf of Mexico.

This stuff is still out there, multiplying, waiting to be sucked up by a hurricane and dumped inland as rainfall. They say the bottom of the gulf of Mexico is a barren wasteland now, no life at all, and that comes from a marine biologist out of New Orleans.

Flesh eating bacteria rain, courtesy of Synthia. This shit will eat the skin right off your bones, it's killing people on the gulf coast. Lots of flesh eating bacteria cases, and it is highly robust, antibiotics are useless.

People are eating seafood and getting it inside of them and it wreaks havoc on the body, horrible stomach pains, bloody diarrhea, vomiting and in some cases death.

Look, I'm not some doom fanatic, I am a competent objective researcher, and all the research I have done has convinced me that this stuff is going to be a major problem, once it starts falling inland.
