once again a contradiction

if a man sells everything he owns
then he has lots of roman coins (cash)
he has still not given up his wealth

now if Jesus had said

give away everything you own
that would have made sense

but he did not say that

he said SELL everything you have

which gave the man a hefty profit
after the sale

maybe that's where Jesus' money
came from in that money bag

he scammed wealthy people out of
their money

sell everything you own
and give Jesus the money
is more like it

and Jesus did the same thing with
Simon Peter and his fishing boats

sell your fishing boats and I will make you
fishers of men, of course I'll need
the money you get out of the boats
