The real answer is to revolt on paying taxes. That soft approach has proven itself dead long ago. If we are really going to kill the sick agenda we need to take drastic measures starting with the refusal to pay income tax. Then move on to debt refutation. That will shut them down TOMORROW. Then we can remove all the crooks from office and replace them with truck drivers, construction workers, doctors, and philosophers. |

There are two key pieces of legislation that need to be repealed in order to begin righting the ship and without them being repealed there is no hope in ever changing course. Quoting: Anonymous Cowherder The first is the 17th Amendment. We have not had a Congress in this nation since 1913, well, at least not in the way the framer's intended with two sides being represented; the people in the House of Representatives and the States in the Senate. With the adoption of the 17th Amendment, both chambers now represent only one side, the people. The States had their voices silenced and their claws removed, leading us down this dark path of ultimate federal control. The selection of Senators needs to be returned to the legislatures of the many States to restore the balance of power in Congress. The second is the Apportionment Act of 1911. This set the number of Representatives in the House at the current number of 435. The Constitution says that the representation "shall not exceed one for every thirty Thousand" (emphasis mine) residents but with the passage of the Apportionment Act of 1911, representation is now closer to one per 713,000. That number needs to be closer to the one per 30,000 number stated in the Constitution than to the number it is now. 1 per 30,000 would have a House numbering in the 10,000 member range, quite a large number but with email and video teleconferencing it should not be unmanageable/infeasible. Repeal of these two articles would set the congress back to what it was meant to be and increase local accountability of our Representatives and Senators. Once accountability is restored in Congress, then and only then will the other two branches have no choice but to abide by the restraints on their power as set forth in the Constitution. After that it'll be time to roll up our sleeves and get to work dismantling this house of cards that the progressives have been building since Teddy Roosevelt was in office; starting with the Fed and the 16th Amendment and working out from there. ------------------------------------------------------------ I posted that on another thread but wanted to reach a broader audience as many people are unaware of how Progressives "fundamentally transformed" Congress in 1911-1913 with the passage of the Apportionment Act of 1911 and the 17th Amendment. We have not been living under the governmental structure that the framers intended for over 100 years. This is making it easy for today's Progs to push the anti-Constitution agenda with a "You see, the government set up by the 'founding fathers' in the Constitution is flawed and out-dated and needs to be replaced," message on the unaware and sway the public opinion in favor of accepting "reforms" to the Constitution which may not necessarily have to meet the amendment criteria set forth in Article 5 but are needed all the same. Yes, congress needs to be reformed and this is where that "reform" needs to start, with a return to the Congress that was intended, not the one established but those "early 20th Century Progressives" that Hillary Clinton is such a fan of. Obamacare needs to be overturned. That was a HUUUUUGE fck up...! "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." -Winston Churchill. |

M'eh, never gonna happen. Doesn't matter who you look at, historically, when our culture becomes this perverted there is no other option but some sort of collapse. Perhaps if we addressed the REAL problem, the American "christian" church's attack on manhood that started way back in the early/mid 1800's and organized under the Women's Christian Temperance Union in the mid-ish 1800's things might make more sense on how to reverse it. But it cannot happen. It WILL NOT happen. BOTH "conservatives" and leftists all agree on one thing: our culture must support absolute Female Worship. There was some fag caller on Limbaugh on Friday from Texas who pointed out correctly that Texas bitches EXPECT men to treat them a certain way. They EXPECT it while, AT THE SAME TIME demanding the right to snap their fingers and break up the family, commit adultery, abort their unborn and in Texas murder their already born, and demand someone else's money to support them when they decide to snap their fingers and not work. Look at it simplified: our entire culture supports giving women everything without them having to earn ANYTHING. That is welfare by definition. When even so called "conservatives" support the Welfare state (cultural Marxism, Female Worship, whatever you want to call it) there is NO SALVATION. Most of the Classical writers point this out, in particular Aristophanes' Women in Parliament. Women start attacking and demonizing men, then demand to take control of the political spectrum, and then the Welfare State, and finally collapse to a stronger society (likely Islam in our case, as it's the fastest growing on the planet in the USA). Wake up OP. It's a real nice thought, but a flight of fancy. |

Forgot to point out that the Progressive victories in the early 1900's were a DIRECT result of the WCTU and its influence. The WCTU started down this train of thought: 1) all men are drunks 2) all drunks beat their wives 3) all men beat their wives (when in reality women commit most domestic violence in the USA) 4) because of all this, morally superior women must take control of the family and society and the political spectrum. This cultural influence led directly to the Federal Reserve (men are too stupid, drunk, lazy and oppresive to manage their own monetary system without gubmint) The 18th Amendment (all men are drunks so we have to take booze from them) The 19th Amendment (morally superior women MUST control the political spectrum) This was after 50 years PREVIOUS influence. A chilling thing to behold that the American "christian" female has been demanding the same thing as Sharia: -ban alcohol (Prohibition) -ban guns (NFA of 1934, GCA of 1968, and on and on) -ban drugs -legislate morality If you want to solve the problem, i firmly believe it IS POSSIBLE, but you HAVE TO FIND THE REAL ROOT OF THE PROBLEM. |

How is giving thousands more political assholes a paycheck going to help anything ? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40077555 dilution of power. You think adding more members of congress will get things done faster? You're an idiot. Because that will ensure that things don't get done. That would be TOO many to come to any agreement. Seriously. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41119298 "things" are not supposed to be done easily, or fast, in Washington, DC. it's supposed to be a hard and slow process to get legislation passed. it should to be much easier to get legislation through a State House or Assembly and made into law than it is to get them through the US Congress. and I love the ad hominem. it really drives your point home. oh, and as to nothing getting done? well, i'd have loved it if most of the legislation passed in this nation in the past 40 years didn't happen because it was too tough. The Dept of Education, amnesty under Reagan, The first Gulf War, the repeal of Glass/Steagall, the Patriot Act, the "war on terrorism", the second Gulf War, NDAA, obamacare, etc. all passed because it was "too easy" to get them through congress. Article One of the United States Bill of Rights. "After the first enumeration required by the first article of the Constitution, there shall be one Representative for every thirty thousand, until the number shall amount to one hundred, after which the proportion shall be so regulated by Congress, that there shall be not less than one hundred Representatives, nor less than one Representative for every forty thousand persons, until the number of Representatives shall amount to two hundred; after which the proportion shall be so regulated by Congress, that there shall not be less than two hundred Representatives, nor more than one Representative for every fifty thousand persons."
