The Chinese call it Yin & Yang and they say there must always be balance in the universe. Following this train of thought, why would anyone want to join the dark side or the good side if there's always going to be balance in the universe? No side would ever have a chance of winning if there must always be balance. I mean sure, this entire universe could become pure evil one day but I'm sure in a parallel universe there's going to be pure good that controls that universe to balance it out....

So why do so many people take sides?
