But first let me take a selfie

Can you show me like, where on the picture this hand camera is?? Do you see it in the shadow?? I certainly don't.

They cut those frames out? How is there a full picture then? Wouldn't you expect to see the place where they "took" those frames out?

Because you have limited understanding of photo mosaic construction????



Because, of over laps in each of the frames, and different times of day that the frames were taken; the reconstruction can eliminate the robotic arm and yes the shadow of the arm.

So you're saying, the selfie, was taken over hours during a day, with the camera slightly rotating, so that the overlap can be excluded including the arm holding the camera.

Neat trick...
