Verizon's computers are down nationwide-have been for over 24 hours

I tried to purchase an iPhone yesterday and the Apple store couldn't access my account, so we called Verizon.

They said that their network was "updating".

I waited several hours later and again "we're updating"

I asked the woman how long has this been going on, she said "since she got to work"

Now today, I called Verizon to see if I could head back to the Apple store, they are still "updating"

They have no access to anyones accounts.

They can only see just a very limited bit of a customers account and they can't do anything to anyones account.
