The real truth about what's going on in the Middle East

This is not from me but from a friend who lives in Dubai and has lived in several middle eastern countries. This is just a small piece of what he send me in regards to what's really going on in the Middle East.

4. Geopolitical truth #1 A populace divided is more easily and readily controlled.
5. Geopolitical truth #2 Human nature is tribal. Everyone has a “home” team and will root for that team no matter the circumstances or consequences.
6. Geopolitical truth #3 The people who have the power use human nature to keep the populace divided and distracted from the simple fact that if you are not within the 1% who have power then you are within the populace that must be controlled.
7. Geopolitical truth #4 Fear is a powerful emotion and one that has been used quite successfully to shape the history of man.
Now with all of that being said, I shall commence to enlighten you on my subjective opinion on the matter at hand.
To begin quite simply, there are 3 key root components to the unrest in the Middle East that we see today. 1. The obvious Sunni-Shia divide within Islam which is much more complex than a simple talking point, 2. The natives are restless, 3. The natives have realized Geopolitical truth #3.
The Arab Spring has removed regimes that have stood for 50+ years; from Morocco to Tunisia to Egypt to Libya almost entirely thru a peaceful movement, practically overnight. The remaining monarchies and caliphates are terrified that the people have become wise to their game. Saudi, Iran, Syria, Yemen, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Turkey, Jordan and even Lebanon to a certain degree; are dealing with the same mindset within the populace. Vast oceans of unemployed and underemployed natives in the midst of a recession with essentially no hope for a better future unless it comes in the way of a government check from Oil profits. The 1% takes the Lion’s share living in palaces, riding in yachts, driving expensive cars, flying personal jets all while the general populace scrapes by on crumbs and starves. The days harken back to Mary Antoinette, the guillotines are sharp. In Saudi and Kuwait they simply bump the checks up a few more thousand and the populace is distracted at the malls and car lots. That’s always been the way to ease the unrest and it continues to work to a certain degree.
Jihadist ideology is not really too much different from the American Conservative Christian ideology. Always a well-funded enterprise that has almost specifically focused on the civilian populace and used fear and religion as a back stop. But how is that? The general populace has no money to spend. So where does the money come from? Geopolitical truth #1.
So why is the Sunni backed ISIL attacking Iraqi infrastructure instead of a despotic regime in Syria who has been killing thousands of its own populace? These guys never used to attack refineries and the wealthy. Their target has always been regular civilians. Blame the other guy, simply for being other. So why are they going after pipelines and refineries?
The story of Muhhamed al-Mahdi and Sufyani it becomes clear. Muhhamed al-Mahdi is the 12th and last of the 12 Imams. His coming represents the end times, an apocalypse much like we’re familiar with in Judeo-Christianity. In fact Isa, or Jesus, joins the Mahdi during this time to judge all of man in a final battle against Sufyani.
We learn from the Koran that Sufyani will rise up in Damascus and eventually lead a battle into Iraq in Najaf where the forces of the Mahdi and the other tribes shall rise up against him and destroy him and his followers leading in a new age of enlightenment. This is precisely what many Muslims believe, have been taught to believe since a very early age. It is a core narrative within the religion of Islam just like Revelations is within Christianity.
Wait. Didn’t the evangelical wing of American Christians predict a similar story in Babylon (Baghdad) about the Iraq war? The pretense for the Conservative Christian was that we were ushering in the apocalypse? That a “Holy War” would bring about the end times….
OPEC’s member states consist of both Shia and Sunni dominated governments yet they manage to agree that POFIT is more important than ideology. Yet all of them are perfectly happy to watch their civilians tear each other to shreds. Religion, ideology, fear and belief is a powerful tool used to control the populace keeping them divided and distracted and thus ensuring the 1% stays the 1%. Why is it that “terrorists” never attack the 1%? You ever asked yourself that question?
Always ask yourself who benefits? Who has the most to gain? Chances are they’re the ones with the most to lose. Sunni dominated Saudi’s funding jihadists in attacks against a Shia backed governments in Iraq and Iran following a thousand year old narrative.
Only this time borders have no meaning and the 1% is terrified that the populace turns their knives like they saw in Egypt and Tunisia.
Divided and distracted ensures survival. America is really no different.
