Could dizzy feeling be a sign of Impending earthquake?
There's been a lot of talk lately about an Earthquake around the new Madrid fault. Granted it has been scaring me just a little bit and I've been thinking about a lot lately. I live in Memphis.

Now I'm just putting this out there, just for info.

So this morning I woke up feeling stupid dizzy for honestly the first time in my life and I'm 58 years old. It lasted about three or four hours it was really strange. But then What creeped me out the most is my son came down, he's 20, and he said he felt dizzy too! Well i've read on here before that sometimes feeling dizzy precedes earthquakes. Hope it is nothing, time will tell. Looked it up and read that dizzy feelings Sometimes precede earthquakes by one hour to three days.

If it is sunny out, block the sun with a roofline so you see the brightness enough to notice the soup stew crap that is flying about along with webs, if there is a static snap discharge.

Depends on how you look at things. Are you normally prone to things like this, our is it something unusual?

Many are feeling the changes coming, you have to think outside the box.

Here is my link, it may be deep, but it is factual...

Thanks for replying eCore and Abinadi

Crazy times we live in.

I woke up at 3:11 this morning with the sounds of 'rumbling' in my head, still going on. It is strong, I haven't been back to bed since.

Re: Could dizzy feeling be a sign of Impending earthquake?
Yes - I experience dizziness with earthquakes. Twice I experienced it just seconds before earthquakes and got accused of the tin foil hat and then the earthquake happened - but it doesn't always happen that I sense it early, but they always make me dizzy even if they are too small to feel.

I also go through periods of dizzy spells due to inner ear - I can be sitting in my chair and get dizzy. I was always thinking we were having earthquakes but nothing showing on USGS. So now if I feel dizzy I look for a chain pull hanging from a ceiling fan or hanging plant or something to see if its moving just to be sure.

So yes, it could be a sign, but it also might not be, either. Make sure you have preps to get your family by for a few days just in case ok?

I usually feel dizzy right before the earthquake starts. I felt the dizziness strong back when the Whittier narrows hit in 1987. I believe feeling light-headed is common before an EQ.

Considering yesterday was the 4th, could it be that you and your son are hung over? That could make you dizzy. So could anxiety.

I've only experienced an earthquake once and it was extremely minor. But before the onset of the quake, I remember feeling a bit uneasy, and then I remembered seeing auras. About 3 minutes later the quake hit.

So it could be.

Was that auras around the people near you?

Was that the first time?

Was it all the people you could see - or only some of them?

Hope you've got a number of 5 gallon water bottles stored.
And tins of beans and peaches & raisins.
And first aid kit.

And typed list of things you will take with you if you decide to leave the area.

Because when this goes - you are on your own.
