I haven't seen the stats / results from Colorado but I'd hope that state revenues went up and arrest figures went down.

If that was the case then why not implement that strategy nationwide?

I know that here in Ireland it costs the state (i.e. the taxpayer) €90,000 per inmate per year to be kept in prison, that's $122,000 per head, who give nothing back to society.

I want the return of the lash / flogging here in Ireland and I also want the return of hard labour / chain gangs.

Prisoners shouldn't be allowed cut their time because they found God or learned woodworking.

Should be a 3 strike rule with junkies and the like, after 3rd arrest you're going on the chain gang, you work hail rain or shine.

Too many "politically correct" types all over the world with far too many people listening to them, they can go and get fucked with a rusty hammer.

You'll notice that the majority of these do-gooders don't have the creatures they're defending living next to them, if they had then they'd be the first ones ready to swing the axe.

And people have not just let it happen, they have demanded it.

They have allowed themselves to believe that it is somehow justice that a person convicted of a non-violent offense spends the rest of their life in prison.


They demand more and more arbitrary legislation, laws to regulate virtually every aspect of our lives, and severe punishments for non-conformity.

Not only that, but they believe that once someone has been ACCUSED of a crime (a crime that could be as petty as talking back to a cop or not cutting ones grass to the appropriate length or refusing to allow a government entity to install a radiation-emitting smart meter in your home) that they are DESERVING of whatever treatment the police decide to mete out.

There is no more innocent until proven guilty.

If you are ACCUSED of a crime, you are suddenly to be treated as a sub-human being. Like a piece of chattel or worse.

Cops, who were NEVER supposed to have the authority to mete out punishment, are killing people in their own homes without even charging them with a crime, they are killing American citizens on the streets for saying the wrong thing in the wrong tone of voice or for legally carrying weapons that the cops deem threatening. They are killing people's pets because they offer citizens protection.

And what's worse, 90% of American's believe that this is just FINE, that it's OK, because these are the police, they wouldn't do anything that wasn't for the public's own good, right?

If you are unlucky enough to be CONVICTED of a felony, you're pretty much fucked. The populous now believes you are a piece of human refuse, no longer deserving of basic, fundamental human rights, even though nowhere in our Constitution does it say that our American rights can be terminated by the ruling of a criminal court judge.

Then, you are thrown into the prison system, where you are at the mercy of corrupt guards and prison financiers, made to work for pennies an hour while the corrupt people at the top turn a tidy profit. And if you refuse, you will be beaten, starved, thrown in solitary confinement or worse.

And if you complain, nobody will believe you or care, because you are nothing but a criminal, deserving of no consideration or human compassion. Certainly, your word will NEVER be believed above that of a corrections officer.

This is their ultimate goal. To have the good little conformists on the outside, and those who refuse to toe the line be used as slaves on the inside of one prison or another.

They call it justice, but it's really nothing more than a modern institution of human slavery. And as the crimes that people are imprisoned for become more petty and as the general populous becomes more ignorant of their rights, the system will only get bigger and less humane.

Then what about the countries that are all black?

Most likely, a great majority of crimes go unsolved due to poor police work and corruption.

The US arrests too many people, has too many prisoners, too many parasite lawyers, too many abc agencies, too many militarized cops, etc... Stopping the criminalization of people for drugs would be a good start to fixing things.

When they started privatizing prisons and making them for profit, they needed to ensure themselves a steady stream of inmates in order to continue building their business and making more money.

SO, they had to create more and more arbitrary laws that people would invariably break over and over again in order to feed their machine.

Then find an island, surround it with sea-mines and enough sharks to film a remake of jaws and start dumping these criminals on it, not the poor fuckers who were caught with enough weed to roll a few joints but the pure scum, the child molesters, the rapists, the serial killers and of course the bankers.

Have a system in the mainland prisons whereby if they (the prisoners) get out of line then they're heading for this island hell-hole.

There are like 5 people in Canada.

And 3 of them are from India.

And the reason that America is so great compared to other countries is that even though we have a shit-ton of people in prison, those people in prison are living in more luxury than most of the people on the planet.

Even the worst treated of our citizens are better off than most of the people on the planet, and THAT'S a fact.

We might have problems, but it doesn't mean we're not still the best and that people from all over the world aren't still willing to risk everything they have, including their lives, to come here.

Our problems are fixable, dude - we're working on them.

As much as I bitch about some of the shit that goes on here, I fully recognize and respect that I am lucky as fuck to have been born in a nation that allows me the right to complain about what I think is wrong and which has allowed me to become educated enough to know the difference.

Don't shit yourself, we might not do everything right all the time for every person, but people in America have a better chance of living to their full potential than they do virtually anywhere else in the world.
