Yeah, that makes no sense to me either. But I am with you Kirk, food has turned to crap. Can't hardly eat anything. I bought fish and shrimp several times from China and was so gross I had to through it away. You do have to watch the labels so much say "distributed in America" what a total scam. Food has become poison. This doesn't even touch on GMO, we've noticed corn chips and tortillas have a really bad chemical taste lately, more than one brand too. We think it could be GMO. The other day I had a fresh ear of corn I always microwave in the skin as a friend showed me, it usually makes this awesome corn husk smell. Smelled horrible, could it be GMO? I tried another ear and same thing smells disgusting, tasted ok, but the smell has me wondering.

it's all gmo, my friend.

even if you grow it yourself. the gmo can leach over from the crops in a neighbor field, and etc.

I'm currently only buying bacon from Burgers' Smokehouse (brand). All other meat has been banned from this house. It's too hard to keep up and I didn't like meat a whole lot in the first place.

Thanks for thread Kirk.

you deserve to know where your food was raised processed and if it is organic!!!!
 Quoting: Astral Goat

Major Chinese food processors with locations in prison factories and farms have obtained both organic and kosher certification.

[link to www.zjncpck.com]

Read it and weep. This is an official Chinese provincial website for importers and exporters of africultural products. You know this is not the only one doing this.

The label has to read Made in the USA, Made in Canada, etc. anymore, unless you are buying locally.

NO! You are wrong.

The slaughterhouse unions were broken decades ago.

Slaughter work is all minimum wage done by illegal aliens now. But even minimum wage is too much to pay for these fucking companies, they won't be satisfied until we are all chattel slaves working for free.

They were able to break the unions because of new (dangerous) technology for refrigeration. A packing plant needs huge powerful cooling systems which used to be permanent installations in solid buildings. New systems were made that are smaller and can be built and installed in remote areas away from population centers where unions can be organized and supported.

They just moved the plants away from the unions and hired unskilled, inexperienced labor with some of the highest turnover rates in any industry, sped up the line to the point of increasing injury with no pesky industry to stop them, and all this results in vastly more cruelty to animals due to inept people not killing them properly.

I was told about the union busting cooling technology by an old guy who used to repair equipment on kill floors.
 Quoting: Vision Thing

This is all very true. One of my sons used to work at IBP, which has since been bought out by Tyson. When it was still IBP, there were some plants for slaughtering, some for processing. My son worked at one of the processing plants, on the first shift. Most of the second shift were illegals from Mexico, some didn't speak much english.

IBP began bringing men and women over from Somalia to work in their plants. They were also put on second shift. These were illegals, they were not working toward citizenship, they did not even speak english! They had to attend english-speaking class, (during first shift), then work their full shift. IBP paid for their housing, bought them cars. Somehow they managed to obtain drivers licenses.

When it came time for 'inspections'... which was more about looking for illegals than it was about inspecting the facilities... IBP would always know about it beforehand, would just tell the second shift (illegals) to stay home that day. My son and others on first shift then had to stay and pull a double shift.

When Tyson bought out IBP, things did not change.

My son's job was to bring the frozen cows in from the truck on a conveyor belt, and keep them coming as each one was processed and moved further into the bldg. He stood there a great deal of time at the door, watching what was going on, as he ran the belt. The things he saw the workers doing!!! OMG!!! We never ever everrrrrrrrrrrrr ate any food that had been prepared there. And my son quit and joined IAMs as a fork-lift driver. And that's another story, lol.

It's my understanding that the Pigs are still going to be grown and slaughtered here, then sent to China for processing and packaging then distributed.

What I don't know is if they will be exporting the meat back to the U.S. It would make sense to me to just process and package the meat for the US in the US...but who knows, made the Chinese have figured out a way of doing it cheaper then we do here in North Carolina using immigrants from Guadalajara!

 Quoting: Reckless Driver

It's all fine and good that we grow the pigs here. Not so great at all that we ship them somewhere else for processing and packaging.

How do we even know that we get products made from those same pigs back?

They could be taking our pigs and sending back rats, for all we know.

Forgot to add this about the bolded part above:

Very true! IBP/Tyson had a 'nurses station', where the workers were supposed to report if they had been injured. When they speed up those lines, those workers with VERY SHARP knives have seriously dangerous conditions.

But IF they get hurt and report to the nurses station, they get fired!!!!!!! Because they had somehow managed to break a safety law. ?????

My son passed by a worker on his way to break. The worker swung around with his knife and accidently knicked my son's arm. Could NOT report that tho, not if he wanted to keep his job.

See how it works?

.
 Quoting: Myst_Wolfsong

There's another aspect to this too, which is I heard it put that the Hispanic workers "will not work with white men" and that well, "accidents happen".

Re: B E W A R E . . . . Made in China
Thanks for the info, kirk.

Fish, ugh. I no longer eat it since bp and fuku. Take a good multi vitamin and use flax seed for the omegas. Buy it in bulk, grind it up, and freeze it. Sprinkle it on oatmeal, yogurt, pancakes. Heck I even put it in casseroles, sloppy joes, etc. Stir it in just before serving and cannot even taste it.

I buy farmers market. Rinse well, pat dry, seal in freezer bags. You can find smaller freezers for a pretty good price; also, check websites. Some cities have a classified section where residents can post things for sale. Or barter for one.

It's one more way to keep your hard earned cash in the local economy and out of the big boys pockets. You can get pretty good buys at your farmers market, like a whole bucket of apples for 8 bucks. You can even make homemade apple pies and they fit perfect in a gallon freezer bag. Just stack em up on top of each other! Mash bananas, freeze, and you have the main ingredient for banana bread.

And if you juice (I use one that pulverizes the peel, too, so get all the good stuff), do your greens and pour into the bag and use an ice chipper to chip off what you need each time you juice. Blender will work, too, and you can find them cheap at secondhand stores.

Thanks again,op, for the heads up. Hope I have contributed some helpful info in ways to help others deal with this and ideas for staying healthy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59308318

Most of the vitamins we buy are now also made in china. Not saying they're all bad, but oh boy the ones that are will and can kill you. The government is systematically turning against our people by allowing these things to be produced in suspect foreign countries. When will we demand it stop??? After the population is all too sick to work or even keep infrastructure going in America? I'm so pissed already about ready to die for the cause I think. many are realizing they too are about ready to give a final protest.

Smithfield Farms, the largest pork producing farm in the
USA was sold in September to China with the unanimous support of its stockholders! The hogs will still be raised here, but slaughtered and packaged for sale there before being sent back here. This includes labels
of Morrell , Eckrich , Krakus , Cudahy , Premium Hams, Cook 's, Gwaltney, the same with many chickens. They can now be shipped there, but when they come back all that needs to be labeled is that they WERE RAISED IN THE USA. Not that they were processed in China !!! Our great FDA at work again. The chickens will be all processed and most sold to fast food restaurants for sandwiches, along with schools and supermarkets. The China slaughter and processing are not nearly equal to the requirements there.

*BAD FOOD.*

We recently learned that Starkist Tuna is now owned by Korea, and is in big conflict with the U.S.concerning quality, safety, and records, which Korea refuses to produce.

Read several articles on Google about this, and even one that was defending the eating of tilapia said to avoid the fish that came from China? Also, I had just returned home from buying Albertson’s 4-day special of 4 bags of
frozen tilapia for the price of one.? Sure enough, on the top of the bags, it read "farm raised", and on the bottom in small print it said, "China" read all the way down...

Recently a Food inspector on TV... said he had lived overseas and he had seen the filthy conditions their foods are raised and processed in. It is enough to make you throw up. Some foreign workers have to wear masks as
they work in these places, because the food is so rotten and filthy, it makes them want to throw up. Many of their fish on Fish Farms are fed raw sewage daily. He said he has seen so much filth throughout their food
growing and processing that he would "never" eat any of it. They raise this filth, put some food coloring and some flavorings on it, then they ship it to the USA & Canada for YOU to consume and feed to YOUR families. They have no Food & Safety Inspectors. They ship it to you to buy and poison your families and friends.

Imported food we eat and the junk we buy:
Green Giant frozen vegetables are from China , and so are most of Europe's Best.

Arctic Gardens are Okay. So is Birdseye.

*Never buy the grocery store garlic unless it is clearly marked from USA or Canada*, the other stuff is grown in people poop (even worse than chicken poop). China is the largest producer of garlic in the world; U.S. is next.

*Buy only local honey *, much honey is shipped in huge containers from China and re-packed here.

Cold-FX is grown and packed in China and is full of fecal bacteria. Doesn't work anyway, big scam.

If the country of origin is not clearly marked beware.

If produce, ask an employee.

Watch out for packages which state "prepared for", "packed by" or "imported by". We don't understand the lack of mandatory labeling, especially the produce.

The country of origin should be clearly shown on the item in the store.

Go to the local farmers' markets in season and keep a wary eye open the rest of the year.

Please read this very carefully, and read to the very bottom. It's important for all of us.

How is it possible to ship food from China cheaper than having it produced in the U. S. or Canada?

FOR EXAMPLE THE "OUR FAMILY" BRAND OF MANDARIN ORANGES SAYS RIGHT ON THE
CAN “FROM CHINA”. SO, FOR A FEW MORE CENTS, BUY THE LIBERTY BRAND.

*GOLD BRAND OR THE DOLE IS FROM CALIFORNIA*. not always !!!

Beware, Costco sells canned peaches and pears in a plastic jar that come from China .

ALL "HIGH LINER" AND MOST OTHER FROZEN FISH PRODUCTS COME FROM CHINA OR INDONESIA. THE PACKAGE MAY SAY "PACIFIC SALMON" ON THE FRONT, BUT LOOK FOR THE SMALL PRINT. MOST OF THESE PRODUCTS COME FROM FISH FARMS IN THE ORIENT WHERE THERE ARE NO REGULATIONS ON WHAT IS FED TO THESE FISH.

*Recently The Montreal Gazette had an article *by the Canadian Government on how Chinese feed the fish: They suspend chicken wire crates over the fish ponds, and the fish feed on chicken s__t .

If you search the internet about what the Chinese feed their fish, you'll be alarmed; e.g., growth hormones,
expired anti- biotic from humans.? Never buy any type of fish or shellfish that comes from these countries:
Vietnam, China, Philippines.

Check this out personally.

Steinfeld's Pickles are made in India - just as bad!

Another example is in canned mushrooms. No-Name brand came from Indonesia ..

Also check those little fruit cups. They used to be made in Canada in the Niagara region until about 2 years
ago. They are now packaged in China. Most sold in Aldi stores.

While the Chinese export inferior and even toxic products, dangerous toys, and goods to be sold in North American markets, the media wrings its hands! Yet, 70% of North Americans believe that the trading privileges afforded to
the Chinese should be suspended.

Well, duh ! Why do you need the government to suspend trading privileges?

SIMPLY DO IT YOURSELF, CANADA AND THE U.S.

Simply look on the bottom of every product you buy, and if it says 'Made in China' or 'PRC' (and that now includes Hong Kong ), simply choose another product, or none at all. You will be amazed at how dependent you are on Chinese products, and you will be equally amazed at what you can do without.

THINK ABOUT THIS:

If 200 million North Americans refuse to buy just $20 each of Chinese goods, that‘s a billion dollar trade imbalance resolved in our favor ... fast! The downside? Some Canadian/American businesses will feel a temporary pinch from having foreign stockpiles of inventory.

Just one month of trading losses will hit the Chinese for 8% of their North American exports. Then they will at least have to ask
Themselves if the benefits of their arrogance and lawlessness are worth it.

Read the labels more closely and buy something else even if it cost a few cents more.

IAMS Dog food? If so, he can tell the story about how the meat sits and rots, then gets pulverized and incinerated, then turned back into yummy dog food. *side note, these low end pet food companies do not use human grade meat, the animals will often have cancers, abnormalities, illnesses, etc. That is why they process the shit out of it. If you care about your dog do some research on what you feed them and diversify. Feeding the same food to a dog all the time would be like you eating the same Lean Cuisine meal over and over and over.
 Quoting: Reckless Driver

Yes, IAMs dog food. And yesssssssss the horror stories! gaah

But he now works in the warehouse with the already processed food, pulling products from the shelves and loading trucks. He doesn't see the icky stuff anymore.

He does not feed his gorgeous Husky anything from IAMs, and neither do I use IAMs for my furry kids.

What you say about how they process dog food, yep! Just as bad as most of the other big name dog food companies. And the lower grade companies as well.

Folks spend wayyyyy too much money on the big name dog foods, thinking they are getting a better food for their dogs. NOPE! Big name dog food companies just get most of their products that go into the dog food from the same places that the lower grade dog food companies do. IAMs and others just slap on their name labels and call it good.

Nope!

I smell a rat here cuz most of the slaughter houses have cheap mexican labor, so how are they saving money? Liberals and their carbon footprint stuff should be alarmed over the shipping, but they seem to think this is great. Something else is at stake here. Some possibilities are:

1. Bio weapon implant down the road sometime.

2. Stir up mexicans to riot who will loose their jobs as more are coming in, La Raza uprising backed by cartels and traitors in our government to enact martial law, at least be a contributing element in a bigger scheme.

3. Giving foreigners power over our food supply to keep us in line for some kind of U.N. intervention or similar action.

4. Another example we have been sold to the Chinese piece by piece to secure all the loans we have taken from them. Similar to the Chinese solar farm/Harry Reed/BLM land grab.

5. Like spraying a teflon pan with PAM so nothing can stick to it, they are "spraying pam" on the pork industry, so SHaria Law or other muslim pressure could eliminate pork in this land.

 Quoting: Vision Thing

LOL.. ok, since you asked... chuckle

Son brought frozen cows in on a conveyor belt in the air, they were lined up ready for processing. The conveyor belt would go clear around the room. Each worker had two sharp knives, and one part of the cow to cut off. The part cut off would go out of the room on a sliding conveyor belt, the frozen cow would continue on its belt to another worker. And etc, around the room.

The workers would get bored. They would play games, such as tic-tac-toe with their knives... on the frozen cow... as it went by.

If the part they cut off the cow happened to fall to the floor, they'd just pick it up and toss that part back on the sliding conveyor belt. That would later be processed and packaged, with no one knowing it had been on the greasy dirty floor.

The workers had hoses they would wash the floor with, at the end of their shift. During their shift, if they had to walk anywhere, they'd slide rather than walk, so they wouldn't fall from the grease, the blood, dirt, whatever. Sometimes while bored, they would have water fights with those hoses. Spraying someone across the room. The frozen cow and the parts being cut off, would all get sprayed, stuff from the floor would splash up, and the meat would end up dirtier than when it came in from the truck.

And this was just the 'processing' part. Lord only knows what happened before the frozen cows got there. Or what would happen to the meat during packaging.

(snipped)

When Tyson bought out IBP, things did not change.

My son's job was to bring the frozen cows in from the truck on a conveyor belt, and keep them coming as each one was processed and moved further into the bldg. He stood there a great deal of time at the door, watching what was going on, as he ran the belt. The things he saw the workers doing!!! OMG!!! We never ever everrrrrrrrrrrrr ate any food that had been prepared there. And my son quit and joined IAMs as a fork-lift driver. And that's another story, lol.

Seems like a good place to tell the rest of the stories!!! Bring it!

LOL.. ok, since you asked...

That shouldn't really bother people. That's why as an end user, you thoroughly cook your delicious meat.

I've more then a few times, drunkenly dropped a cooked hamburger grill side. Just take it in side, rinse off, back on the grill to get hot again. No big deal. If we eat too 'clean' we loose out natural bad germ fighting immune system. Our ancestors ate very dirty, poorly handled unrefrigerated foods. Hell my grandma had stores that as a kid in the 40s, her dad would hang a trimmed cow in the barn, they would just slice off what the wanted for dinner every night. She also said, a fresh slaughtered chicken is best the 2nd day. The meat would relax and be tender.
