I do! I used to read futuristic novels where the evil guys (government/ruling class) were very similar to what we appear to have now.
Leaving the Holodeck now.

Yes, and I can't remember when I forgot it was I who was writing the script.

They paint a picture on the media and you are to believe it. It is fiction.

Well, in the novels, the main character (with a few others) somehow manage to turn everything around, defeat the evil empire, etc, etc.

I am obviously NOT one of the main characters in THIS "novel" !!

Actually, I think I've read about that. Wasn't that the "gentlemen's club" that Benjamin Franklin was a member of?

Remember its about passion and connectivity to the title.

A book can be judged by the cover

Braveheart....but only the last scene....
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59115187

I thought Braveheart was based on a real person - -if you're talking about the scene where he dies, and sees his wife (who was killed at the beginning of the movie) walking through the crowd, then maybe.

A novel usually has plot that eventually makes sense... this feels more like a Twilight Zone marathon... a different plot every 30 minutes.

Re: Does anyone else feel like they're living in a science fiction/fantasy novel?
We are living in a simulation created by humans who achieved immortality, became bored and devised a game re-tracing possible evolutionary scenarios for their ancestors for their own amusement.

It is all pre-programmed with self-evolving algorithims and scenarios, every event in history and individual action.

The immortal human who probably owns our game left artifacts of herself in our game indicating she is the Abrahamic god of the bible who has been mistaken for a male deity.

But she doesn't care, nor does she care about the fate of individual humans or even our world as a whole.

Events happening now but programmed long ago indicate the game is running out and she knew she would eventually get bored with it.

When she does, the lights will just go out and that will be that.
