I would also like to say that this site is just fine for getting the message out there as any other. The bible speaks of scoffers and naysayers and such, but it also say that by presenting truth as you have done here and if in doing so you bring others to salvation, it will go good with you. So, ignore those who bash, quarrel or snivel about your choice of how you present this knowledge and keep up the good work! Remember for those who have such ills toward what you post, they are spoken of in the bible as well. Remember, don't cast your pearls before swine as even I am tempted to do and have done myself at times. (This is to say don't argue with an unbeliever). Stick to the facts and encourage those who are enlightened or further question in order to gain clarification as well as those who supply additional inspiration instead. Also don't be so set that you too might learn something yourself. Lastly be wary of those who wish to use other sources that are not biblical. Jesus refers to the harvest of the wheat (His elect) being taken into his "barn" in order to avoid the destruction of the tares. Speaking parabolically, Jesus was referring to the wheat being taken somewhere safe to avoid the outpouring of wrath on the earth. As Paul said, we've been "saved from the wrath to come". The reason for the rapture is just that. To take us up into the air and into the clouds to avoid the outpouring of wrath on the earth. That's the way I see it. We will be taken in the twinkling of an eye into His "barn" just as Noah and his family were taken into the ark. (And by the way, I do not adhere to the pre-tribulation theory.) Here's the parable: "Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’ ‘An enemy did this,’ he replied. Thats why the phrase "let them grow together" is used. The tares are harvested first. This ties in directly with Jesus' own words in Luke 17:20-37. Anyone tries to tell you different, they need to go back and read these again, but read all of 2 Timothy 3. |
