President Ernest Bai Koroma said the measures resembled a tough anti-Ebola package announced by neighbouring Liberia last night. Koroma also announced he was cancelling a visit to Washington for a U.S.-Africa summit next week because of the crisis. The move came as world's premier health charity issued a grave warning about the likely spread of the deadly Ebola virus - an epidemic it fears 'can only get worse'. Doctors Without Borders (aka Médecins Sans Frontières [MSF]) says the threat of the disease spreading beyond western Africa, where it was first detected in Guinea in February, is frighteningly real and said it was 'absolutely out of control'. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43465131 something different is happening here... You're mixing it up. It is a different strain that is 90%, this strain is 60%. Ebola typically kills 90% of those infected with the virus, but the death rate in this outbreak has dropped to roughly 60% thanks to early treatment. [link to www.ksat.com] Its still 90% without treatment. When the hospitals get overwhelmed (closed) it will go back up to where it always has been. According to my friend, they are already there (in Monrovia) due to Drs & Nurses not coming in anymore because of eithe rbeing sick or not wanting to get sick. |

However, when both tests came back negative, he was then asked whether he had made contact with any person with the Ebola Virus, to which Sawyer denied. Sawyer’s sister, Princess had died of the deadly virus on Monday, July 7, 2014 at the Catholic Hospital in Monrovia. On Friday, July 25, 2014, 18 days later, Sawyer died in Lagos." "Front Page Africa has now learned that upon being told he had Ebola, Mr. Sawyer went into a rage, denying and objecting to the opinion of the medical experts. “He was so adamant and difficult that he took the tubes from his body and took off his pants and urinated on the health workers, forcing them to flee." For example infected guy goes to washroom on plane - now everyone that used that washroom has a high probability of getting the virus on their hands from touching the door handle - if they touch their face. boom! another infected. People that are positive but showing no signs are still passing it sexually! If they want to stop the spread of the virus go find the prostitutes in Africa and quarantine them all! |
