Stephen King's "The Langoliers" and EBOLA? Some weird connections perhaps?

"The Langoliers" may have some links to the current EBOLA situation..

Never read the book, but the movie was about people being stuck in an airport, where no time passes them by, and their inactivity/idleness manifests as thousands of floating ball thingies (Langoliers) that consume everything. The floating ball things actually kinda remind me of the pic of that cell infected with ebola.

The current Ebola situation involves airports and what seems like inactivity/ineptitude in regard to the threat of Ebola consuming the world. "No time passing them by" might instead be translated to "very rapid", like the spread of this strain - or "no time to address the problem".

It's a terrible movie, btw. I always wondered why they actually tried to turn it into a movie. Maybe making the movie wasn't about turning a profit...?
