While the government is taking all necessary precautions to prevent Ebola from entering India, with 47000 Indians residing in Ebola afflicted countries, the threat is naturally going to expand. Recently, a 31-year-old man from Mumbai who returned from Nigeria is suspected to have contracted Ebola infection, reports DNA. The man had been to Nigeria for some work. Soon after he returned, he started experiencing body ache and diarrhea. Fortunately, he was aware about the symptoms and soon approached the Maharashtra Health Department. He is now admitted in the Municipal Corporation’s Sir DM Petit Hospital in Vasai Virar for treatment. So far, the virus has not been detected or confirmed in the patient but he has taken various medical tests and his samples have been sent to Pune laboratory.
