Sudanese strain 2. Zaire strain 3. A mixture between the Sudanese and the Zaire strain |

The outbreak continued through January 2008, and resulted in approximately 149 cases and 37 deaths. Laboratory investigation of the initial 29 suspect-case blood specimens by classic methods (antigen capture, IgM and IgG ELISA) and a recently developed random-primed pyrosequencing approach identified this to be an Ebola HF outbreak associated with a new discovered ebolavirus species. These specimens were negative when initially tested with highly sensitive real-time RT-PCR assays specific for all known Zaire and Sudan ebolaviruses and Marburg viruses. This new species is referred to herein as “the Bundibugyo species”, abbreviated “EboBun”. |

Felix Kabange Numbi said on Sunday that two of eight samples from the northwest Equateur province came back positive for the deadly disease. Numbi said Congolese officials believe Ebola had killed 13 people in the region, including five health workers. He said 11 people were sick and in isolation and that 80 contacts were being traced, the Associated Press reported. "I declare an Ebola epidemic in the region of Djera, in the territory of Boende in the province of Equateur," Numbi said. Different strains However, Numbi said the infections were of a different strain than those in the outbreak in West Africa that has killed more than 1,400 people since March. One of the two cases that tested positive was for the Sudanese strain of the disease, while the other was a mixture between the Sudanese and the Zaire strain - the most lethal variety, the health official said. The outbreak in West Africa is the Zaire strain. More in link :4hlick: |

Dont expect to find anything on youtube, because they took everything off that was there. Try Yahoo, or google they have a lot. But Tinea Incognito is your answer. |

So all the tested patients in the US, Ireland, UK etc could be false negatives? and the patients let un-quarantined free to roam?? This is huge, epic doom |

It has it's on "local" virus, that has been mutating at it's normal rate separate from the outbreak in Guinea. Viruses mutate at tiny points in their genome. A mutation doesn't necessarily result in a change of how the disease is expressed, or how deadly it is, or how easily it's spread. It's just something as simple as a single nucleotide changing from A to a G, C, or U (in this case of RNA). Enough of these changes can cause tests to fail to recognize them right away. When you have to populations separated by distance and mutating independently, you have a phenomena called "Speciation". Of course they're going to be two different strains. This has nothing to do with the rate of mutation. |

Sudanese strain 2. Zaire strain 3. A mixture between the Sudanese and the Zaire strain AND: IMO, all three outbreaks were seeded. Maybe more to come. I totally agree... the perfect storm, treat one but catch the next strain... sounds like a buffet of population reduction diseases are being released right now. The biological warfare stage of WWIII has begun. |
