Thought was a sure thing. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 62235654 Well... It didn't account for monthly multibillion dollar injections into the markets by the fed. It didn't account for gold and silver rigging. It didn't account for secret US entities buying US debt in Belgium by the tens of billions. This is an unnatural market. All classical indicators mean squat at this point. |

CNBC will do pretty much anything to get eyeballs and retweets and attention. Try this for a good look. S&P 500 chart adjusted for inflation over time. It's called a short sale. Those responsible for the ridiculous move up will certainly be positioned that way for the way down. Just look at the dow and s&p since 2000. They take it up ridiculously in a bubble, then they take it down like a meteor, making money both ways. Sheesh |

Earliest it can happen short of a huge terror attack or an asteroid strike is this time next year. If S&P moves up from here for the next few weeks, it has room to run higher to at least July/Aug of 2015. |

Sounds like a CNBC sales tactic to me. The fact is we are an emotionally based country, living our lives based upon false expectations. The markets are completely manipulated to make the sheep believe things are good. And if for a minute you think they'll ever let things go bad, you're wrong. They may allow a small drop in the markets, just to make us think it's not rigged, but we'll only see the markets increase in the coming years.... 60% decrease, ya, when pigs fly! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 53460611 The CNBC interviewer didn't believe the guest either. It was rather comical. Its like saying a 20 mile wide comet could strike Nebraska sometime in the future. It could. But if you say it out loud alot or bet your reputation on it, you're probably going to be found to me wrong and shamed. |

People get rich in both directions. It's the big boys that make the money, you know, the futures kind. |

Joe in JT User ID: 61833495 United States 08/28/2014 02:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Remember back in 1999 the stock market had an automatic "stop" switch. Sort of like a cooling off period when the market would go down 500 points, all trading stopped until the next day. Ever wonder what happened to that super idea? Why has that safety fuse quietly slipped away? My guess is "someone" wants the market to be able to crash big time so they can profit from it. |

This guy makes a living yelling fire in a busy building.. this wasn't a warning it was a 2-minute commercial for Tice Capital. |
