Actually, this is not showing the "importance" but rather this is an attempt to devalue the worth of silver dollar (a term that means something) to the worth of a fiat dollar (a term that means almost nothing).

IMHO, this commercial actually programs people to think that a silver dollar is worth only a dollar. So that when the time comes to trade, so many uneducated people will not accept silver as barter because they will believe what the commercial tells them.

It really depends on how you define SHTF. In the case of a prolonged outage of electricity (e.g. Carrington event), silver will be useless for barter. Millions will die of starvation. In the case of hyperinflation, yes, silver will shine, but I don’t consider this a SHTF scenario. In the case of a planned debt default, again, silver will shine, but not a SHTF situation. In the case of banks being hacked, this will depend on if it is a planned hack or not. If it is an unplanned hack and it is pervasive, things could evolve into SHTF situation. If it is planned, then TPTB will let it evolve just to the point where people are panicking and some are going hungry, and then they will step in with their planned agenda for a chipped population. This last scenario is what I see happening and in this case, those with PMs will be better off than those without, assuming you are willing to take the mark.

All the other needed consumables listed here, fuel, salt, eggs, other produce all spoil. Salt won't exactly spoil but is subject to all kinds of logistical problems.
