How I make Colloidal Silver for personal use

I'm a woman, lol. The man I'm with doesn't take any of this prep stuff very seriously. Really, the soap thing is too easy, might take a half hour of your time. And soap is a great bartering item. You'll be wondering why you didn't do it sooner. I make colloidal silver soap as well. I wonder if men consider how they'll clean things when TSHTF? Another great cleaner is borax. Also, washing soda, which you can make simply by cooking baking soda in a 400 degree oven for about an hour. This process converts sodium bicarbonate into sodium carbonate. Borax, washing soda, and homemade soap make a good cheap laundry soap, 1 TBS per load, unless things are really grubby. Tried and true.

Another note about the sodium carbonate. In Egypt, it's found naturally, and is known as natron. It's what they used to help mummify bodies. I theorize, with a bit of experimentation, it would make a great preservative for meat in a pinch, hmmmm.

Borax should become a friend of yours. It is great on vermin. It is edible in small amounts; I would experiment with small amount in my flour, and see how that goes. Alternatively, I hear that dried hot peppers put in w/ rice, etc that is being stored will repel pests. Makes a good condiment to enliven meals at any rate!

Here is the formula to calculate PPM and how long it will take for your generator to produce colloidal silver this work for all generators. Make sure your generator has a current regulator Diode. This will make your generator constant current and make the smallest uniform partial size possible.

minutes = milliliters * ppm * 0.015 / milliamps

Connect this Diode the the negative side of your generator with the stripe facing the power supply.

Make sure to use a static grounding strap so you don't ruin this diode with static electricity

The most important thing is to get this power supply , 9999 10 gauge silver wire, and a constant current regulator diode
anywhere from 1ma to .24ma. I like the .30ma . All parts including the wire cost under 50.00 your first 32 ounce batch will pay for itself. 20 inches of 10 Gauge silver wire will produce 750 gallons of 10PPM liquid silver.

Although I would contend.......

Higher voltage produces smaller particles.

25-30 volts is making MOSTLY Nano Silver.

You will get some sludge that is grey.

This is Colloidal Silver, is my understanding, or larger particulates.

It is also from Ionic silver bonding with impurities

Making 'Solis'

These are however valuable.

Clean your electrodes with sterile, new gauze and bandage materials.

These will make Highly valuable Wound dressings, for gun shots, major cuts etc. to prevent infections.

I have about 8 years experience and experimentation with Ionic Silver and true colloidal silver. Things I have discovered.
All colloidal Silver Generators produce Ionic Silver.
Ionic Silver must be reduced to make true metallic Colloidal silver.
Ionic silver: is only good for use topically skin, eyes,cuts,
acne,mix with hand soap to kill virus. disinfect counters door knobs and other surfaces. If you ingest ionic silver it is affected by your stomach acid and turns to silver chloride once inside the body and is only about 10% to 20% affective. It also can get trapped in cells and have a higher chance of causing argyria grey blue skin about a 10% chance of this happening. You would have to drink large amounts of properly made Ionic Silver daily for this to happen. can only be made stable to 23 PPM
True metallic Colloidal Silver: is good for internal use for many problems. Flu cold, sickness,virus,bacterial infection ,food poisoning. It is not that affective for topical use because it is capped when it is reduced from Ionic to true colloidal Silver.But is is not affected by stomach acid does not turn to silver chloride and 90% or more enters the blood stream. It passes thru the body does not get trapped in cells and has very little chance of causing argyria.
can be made stable up to 320 PPM. 20 PPM is all I use for ingesting. It has worked for sickness in 24 hours or less every time.

The formula I use to make ionic or colloidal silver is

Time = Milliliters of distilled water x PPM X 0.015 / mA of constant current.
So I have 1050 Milliliters of distilled water that I want to make to 20 PPM using 1.5 mA of constant current.
It would look like this
210 min or 3.5 hours = 1050*20*0.015/1.5 mA
you can make any amount of liquid silver using this formula just change the milliliters of water or PPM or mA of constant current.

After experimenting with several machines I have found 33 volts of DC and 1.5 mA of constant current works best with 10 gauge 9999 Silver wire . You can make 1 quart or liter 20 PPM in 3.5 hours. The product is excellent quality and can be made in a short amount of time. you can get a 1.5 mA constant current diode E-152 from mouser Electronics for 2.31ea

hook the striped end of diode to negative side of power supply. Connect the other side of diode to the cathode or negative side of colloidal silver generator. This will give you a constant current colloidal silver generator.
I will post in a update on how to convert ionic silver to true colloidal silver when I have time.

how to make chelated silver would be a better option, as colloidal silver has less than a 15% absorption ratio.

Anything that "speeds up" the process, causes larger particles to be produced. This is highly undesirable.

The longer you brew the solution, the faster it speeds up, due to the conductivity of the water increasing dramatically. This is called "runaway current", which is what the guy who posted above you was talking about, when he recommended the current limiting diode.

The other way to limit the current, is to use the traditional 3 9-volt batteries, and reduce it by one battery every time you clean off the rods and stir the solution. Going from 27 volts, to 18 volts, to 9 volts, as the water increases in conductivity.

I even have a little 3 volt battery pack that I use to finish off the process, and continue to keep the particles as small as possible.

If you do NOT take runaway current into account, and do NOT reduce the voltage pushing the current, you will end up making VERY large particles. Based on the description you gave and the color, I'd say that you have a good mixture of small particles with large particles.

For you to make a more consistent sized SMALL particle, you must reduce the runaway current. This is done by reducing the voltage.

Keep in mind that 10 PPM SMALL particle Colloidal Silver is more effective that 30 PPM of LARGER particle Silver, and it is also not going to cause Argyria (Graying of the skin).

This is an example of how I do it. The amount of time in each segment, is determined by the AMOUNT of solution being made. For this example, I will say 12 ounces. And keep in mind that the glass is sitting on a coffee cup warmer, keeping the water very hot. This helps speed up the process WITHOUT causing larger particles.

27 volts (3 9-volt batteries) for about 12 minutes, give or take a ccouple of minutes.

Take the rods out, wipe them clean, and stir the solution.

Reduce power to 18 volts (2 batteries) for an additional 10 minutes.

Take the rods out and clean them. Stir the solution.

Reduce power to 9 volts (1 battery) for 8-10 minutes.

Take the rods out, clean them, and stir the solution.


Optional: I use 3 volts to finish off the solution for another 8 minutes, pushing it to it's most effective density while keeping the particles tiny with the 3 volts.

If I am making a quart of CS, then the times for each interval is longer, or I simple increase the number of intervals, using 27 volts for three wipings and stirings, before dropping the voltage down to 18 volts. The more liquid you have, the more time it takes to produce the same strength CS.

When I am making a larger quantity like a quart, I often start off with FOUR 9-volt batteries (36 volts), if I don't want to take up so much time. Either way works fine, but starting with a higher voltage helps speed things up a bit, when using a lot more water.
