The above statement is erroneous. Tabernacles differ significantly from tents: they have no permanence and are fabricated out of materials that come to hand at every stopping place in the wilderness, and each stop required new scavenging for shelter; for the sudden Exodus did not allow for provision of tents.

A move to the greater dependability and comfort of tents would suggest, "going backwards" towards the fixed/certain dwelling places of Egypt/captivity, as the prophets lament. True freedom can be difficult, in that it is a constant test of faith.

Living in sukkot strikes a chord with the master's words to the disciples not to take two coats or a bag, etc., in their missionary journeys. It also invokes the general teaching that says, Take no thought for ... (perceived necessities).

Living in sukkot makes believers absolutely dependent on the author and finisher of their faith and ties the Exodus of old and the coming baptism of fire more firmly to the prophecies of Joel.

No. Because there's not such thing as a rapture and not such thing as a 7 year tribulation period. None of that is biblical

Dan 9:24    Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Dan 9:25    Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
Dan 9:26    And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
Dan 9:27    And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

From the giving of the command to rebuild Jerusalem, until the revelation of the Messiah, was 7x7=49 years plus 7x62=434 years, for a total of 483 years. When Messiah is revealed 69 weeks are over, leaving one week or seven years remaining. Messiah was revealed by John the Baptist in the verses below, at the start of Yeshua's 3.5 year ministry.

Joh 1:30    This is he of whom I said, After me cometh a man which is preferred before me: for he was before me.
Joh 1:31    And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

Yeshua revealed what his ministry was in the verses below. This occurred right after His baptism and forty days in the wilderness.

Luk 4:17    And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
Luk 4:18    The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Luk 4:19    To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Luk 4:20    And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Luk 4:21    And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Yeshua was quoting Isaiah. Notice what was not quoted in the Isaiah passage.

Isa 61:1    The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2    To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3    To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Half of Messiah's mission was not mentioned, beginning with the day of vengeance. This is because He was cut off in the midst of the week, at the cross. What remains, then, is 3.5 years of tribulation. Yeshua is the one confirming the covenant in Daniel 9:27 and it was His sacrifice at the cross that put an end to sacrifices.
Rom 15:8    Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:

There are seven places in Daniel and Revelation that say there are 1260 days, 3.5 years, time times and dividing of time, and 42 months remaining. Daniel also mentions 1290 and 1335 days.
1260 days of tribulation
+ 30 days of wrath, vials/bowls =1290 days
+ 45 days of Armageddon = 1335 days

There are 150 days of the locusts, the name of that period being Great Tribulation. This begins at day 1185 of the 1260, and continues through the end of Armageddon. The seventh trumpet blows on day 1260, whereupon the two witnesses are resurrected and the dead in Christ are raised and the living all meet in the air. Then comes the wrath of God.

Christians will go through the tribulation and should prepare themselves for martyrdom. Very few will survive until the end. The beast is not who is confirming the covenant in Daniel 9:27. He is the desolator upon who the wrath is poured out. It is not necessary for a rebuilt temple to exist for the tribulation to begin. The holy place where the beast is supposed to stand, declaring himself to be god, is not a proper temple. The word used is NAOS, which is simply a holy place or shrine. The word that would be used for the proper temple would be HEIRON.

Christians need to stop spending their time reading fables and fiction and read the Word for themselves. Millions have read novels and watched movies that have formed false ideas in their heads about what to expect. This is a precarious situation because if a person is looking for something to occur, and does not have a true understanding of the Word, they might not see the Messiah standing in their midst and have Him put to death because the reality does not match their half-baked expectations.

Rapture and Tribulation begin the same day... as the Rapture (dissapearance of billions of people from earth) would in itself begin a tribulation. It would cause much stress and bewilderment.

It might even scare nuclear powers into launching missiles. Imagine if millions of people disappeared in Russia, Russia might think it is a secret weapon of NATO (which makes people disappear) and then retaliate by launching missiles on NATO countries.

In any case, there would be airline crashes and automobile crashes and many services would end (transport of goods etc.) as many people who provide these services would be gone. There also would be mass confusion and empty vehicles on roads that need to be removed etc. No one would be able to drive anywhere because the roads would be blocked by these vehicles.

It would be a tedious process to get things back to normal, if ever. Many people would have no interest in fixing it as there main concern would be looking for lost love ones.

What is the rapture?

It is the beginning of 'Jacob's trouble' when billions of Christians will be taken from the earth into heaven.

It is the 'resurrection of the dead'.

It may not happen this year, but just a wake up call anyway for your soul. Also is cause for rejoicing for Christians who look forward to it, recieving the one they love and long for, (Jesus)

If it is to happen, it would happen on the 'Feast of Trumpets' jewish holiday... the next one being Sept. 26th, this year.

All jewish holidays have so far been fulfilled except these 3:

1).Feast of Trumpets (resurrection of christians, alive and dead)

2).Day of Atonement (Jesus comes back to earth)

3). Feast of Tabernacles (Countries travel to Jeruselam to pay homage to Jesus, the new King of the world) on a yearly basis.
