Feast of trumpets has been a longtime favorite with the prophecy community but that is probably why a rapture would not occur then.

Here's an alternative view:

Daniel 12:11&12 give the time from the rapture (Daily sacrifice removed (Church)) to the end of these things (Second coming of Christ) equals 1335 days. This is the length of the tribulation.

Daniel 9:25 gives the timing of the two appearances of Christ following decrees to rebuild Jerusalem. The first was 69 weeks of years (482 years) that ended with Jesus' baptism in 27AD.
The second will be 7 weeks (49 years) after the second decree to rebuild Jerusalem.

Determining when this "second decree" came to be has been an item of debate. The Israeli Knesset "decreed" the creation of the JQDC (The Corporation for the Reconstruction and Development of the Old Jewish Quarter, Ltd.) with the passage of legislation on April 1, 1969. This WAS NOT the date the decree was made official though. If a bill passes, it is signed by the presiding speaker and is later published in the Official Gazette, with the signatures of the president, prime minister, Knesset speaker and the minister responsible for the law’s implementation. Finally, the state seal is affixed to it by the minister of justice, and the bill becomes law.

On April 1, 1969 the Israeli president Zalman Shazar was in the United States attending the funeral of president Eisenhower so he could not have signed the bill into law. After the 1st the Israeli government takes a month long break for the Passover holiday. The Knesset reconvened on May 5, 1969. When was the bill signed and sealed into law as the second "decree"? I do not know.

49 years after May 5,1969 is May 5 2018 and 1335 days before that will be September 8, 2014. The signing could have been a few days before or after but we are somewhere close to the time of change.
