(probably nothing good) Quoting: Little Willy [link to www.google.com] - please read the whole document in its entirety. Its primarily a method to replicate the virus for study. The patent goes on to state that any possible vaccine which may be developed from these techniques will also be patented under this same patent. When I read this it doesn't sound sinister. It sounds like research techniques. |

The patent goes on to state that any possible vaccine which may be developed from these techniques will also be patented under this same patent. When I read this it doesn't sound sinister. It sounds like research techniques. I agree that it is written in a tone of what sounds pretty cut and dry as far as it's stated purposes. It's a patent, so obviously it's not going to say "as and applicable option our samples may be taken by the US Department of Defense and used under the guidance of their programs" My point to drawing attention to this was that the US government developed a separate strain of the Ebola virus that is infectious to humans. For whatever purposes, that scares me. I'll be the first to admit I have a fairly weak scientific background, but the language within the patent leads me to believe that this strain was developed with the intention of isolating and strengthening it's most deadly (to humans) character traits for research purposes. I'm not saying this patent proves anything other than the US government sponsored the creation of an engineered strain of the Ebola virus. |

EboBun was isolated from the patients suffering from hemorrhagic fever in a recent outbreak in Uganda. The isolated virus is a member of the Filoviridae family, a family of negative sense RNA viruses. Accordingly, the invention relates to the isolated EboBun virus that morphologically and phylogenetically relates to known members filoviridae Quoting: Little Willy Editor’s Note hEbola denotes the Ebola virus infectious to humans. In another aspect, the invention provides a method for propagating the hEbola virus in host cells comprising infecting the host cells with the inventive isolated hEbola virus described above, culturing the host cells to allow the virus to multiply, and harvesting the resulting virions. Also provided by the present invention are host cells infected with the inventive hEbola virus described above. So this patent was filed for in October 2009 by the US Govt on behalf of the HHS. No smoking guns, but certainly a nugget of information. [link to www.thewestwire.com] Just dam!!! This sounds freaking alien!! Haven't we already seen this in a scifi movie...this very thing of "propagation inside host cells" |
