Why do people do this?

I think it has a lot to do with how they are raised,when mommy and daddy give them whatever they want and let them do whatever they want,no matter how much they hurt other people,they raise an "arrogant snotty asshole" that nobody can stand to be arround.

I think this happens a lot when business owners let families run their businesses.

Yet notice, please, how much energy we all used here just on criticing them "bastards".

The idea is to let them be, just as they are, and be not affect by their bragging.

Most of that bragging stems from the pain of spiritual separation.

They need our love, not hate and resentment.

If you really think about it, envy is the reason why we have this post.

maybe its not boasting or bragging , maybe the person is genuinely excited he/she owns something and feels you are a good person to tell

I don`t envy these people,I just think they need to be brought down a notch or two.

No it`s not about what they own

they are just a "snotty arrogant asshole"

And who appointed you to do so?
Hardest think is to love those un-love-able.

Agreeing with those of you who say to just leave them be.

JC.. good for you to speak of your frustration, but only if/when you can release it from your self.

Like a previous poster, I avoid braggarts whenever possible... and it truly hurts when I find myself judging others for what I find personally offensive. Being offended is a choice.

Clear it. Move on...

It's not bragging or boasting.... if it's true.

So often we see the hair in others eye, while we carry a telephone post in ours.

I've always believed that,once you have stripped everything from the exterior,experienced a hardship,or a near miss you tend to become more aware,reality sets in,and at that particular moment life has more meaning.I'm not saying go thrillseek,just stop sometime and be aware without all the distractions.Then you might get what is really important out of life.
