Usually people pull their license out of their wallet, they don't turn from the cop and go digging for it in their car seat.
I can understand how a cop in high alert mode could think he was going in his car to grab a gun.
Is the cop at fault in this scenario? Yeah, he was quick to judge but I feel the cop's action is within reason.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 3042112 As soon as I stop after seeing flashing lights, I pull out my license, and retrieve my registration and insurance from the oddly-named glove box. When the cop approaches my window, I have it in hand. Makes sense.
