NASA: The Discovery of a Previously Unknown Asteroid Belt Will Lead To More Frequent Strikes
NASA has released data showing that they expect at least 400 asteroid impacts on Earth between 2017 and 2113. Although most of the rocks have a diameter of 110 yards or less they have warned about a colossus that’s heading our way. The mega asteroid will encounter Earth in 2020. NASA is so transparent. We were taught in the not to distant past the Meteors are just tiny pieces of rock. Now an oppsie. Threats to earth. A perfect explanation to the question, why are fireball being seen in several States and more reports are coming in. We found an enemy.

that ''mega asteroid''= Apophis... it will come close to earth in 2020 then will travel around our sun until it comes probably crashing into earth in 2036.

Massive asteroid 2012DA14 will pass very close to the earth in 2020. At this point scientists don’t think it will hit us but merely the space rock bumping into other space debris can alter its course profoundly so NASA are watching it closely. - See more at: [link to www.thedailysheeple.com]

Exactly. But that won't raise you money.
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

Can someone link to the NASA announcment of a new asteroid belt?
Or to the NASA statement that there will be 400 impacts between 2017 and 2113?
I didn't find any results (of course a lot of woo-woo sites pop up).

The original article was published by the british tabloid Express: [link to www.express.co.uk]

The author Nathan Rao is a crackpot, e.g. he wrote some time ago "SUPERMOON LIVE: Beautiful lunar event could trigger 'END OF DAYS'" [link to www.express.co.uk]

He apparently switched of his brain while looking at NASA asteroid data.
His phantasy scribble: "The terrifying predictions came as NASA revealed disturbing new data showing 400 impacts are expected between 2017 and 2113, based on new observational data of objects seen in space over the past 60 days."

The reality: Asteroid 2014 NZ64 has 399 near-Earth passes between 2017 and 2113.

Not a new asteroid belt - just one (1) new asteroid.
Not 400 impacts between 2017 and 2113 - just 399 passes between 2017 and 2113.

Impact risk on the Torino scale for all passes: 0
"Best" impact probability: 1.2e-07 = 1 in 8,333,000

Or MAVEN is just much more advanced with a larger, more capable scientific payload (65kg of instruments) whereas the MOM mission is inexpensive because it uses a pre-existing satellite bus modified for the trip to Mars and a small 15 kg payload of fairly standard scientific instruments and cameras that aren't anything particularly fancy. MOM is a technology demonstrator, it isn't designed to really push the boundaries of our understanding of Mars. It's primary mission objective was just to prove that they could get to Mars and manage the mission. MAVEN is designed to expand our understanding of Martian atmospheric loss using cutting edge technology, including the most powerful ultraviolet spectrograph ever sent to another planet, a small and efficient quadrupole mass spectrometer (only 8.8 kg in mass and pulling only 22.6 watts), and other specialized instruments. They're really apples and oranges. One is a Nokia 2600, the other is next year's Samsung Galaxy S6.

I guess ghe astroids are sitting there waiting.lol . And as soon as they are discovered, they shout, we are on boys, they've seen us, lets attack. Ronf

I agree, more bullshit.

If they just discovered it, then that would not have any impact or increase.

We should have no difference in the amount of meteorites hitting earth compared to times in the past.

The strategy must be that as we cant see it, you can push any bullshit that people will believe.

All space research should stop receiving billions immediatley that tax payers could be using for personal bailouts or stopping wars.

I am giving up on viewing scientists as honest and respectable.

MAVEN is designed to expand our understanding of Martian atmospheric loss using cutting edge technology, including the most powerful ultraviolet spectrograph ever sent to another planet, a small and efficient quadrupole mass spectrometer, and other specialized instruments. They're really apples and oranges. One is a Nokia 2600, the other is next year's Samsung Galaxy S6.

Yes that is obvious. But 9X the cost, which is going to companies that are probably massively corrupt at the top, so that they can 'clean' money. Im sure if you can find out who makes what on Maven then you could find out more about where such manufacturing companies spend their $$.
