without the Bible we'd still be living in barbarianism
Yeah. And with it, we are living in even more barbarism.
Without the Bible (and the 1000 year Dark Age it helped cause), we might all be living in the Star Trek world.
Yeah, I'm actually serious.
I spent a good deal of time showing you the roots of the different movements in the last 200-300 years.
They were based upon concepts of the New Testament.
What, you didn't like hearing about that? Or you choose to ignore it, so that you can keep your fantasy that the Bible is 'barbaric'?
I am talking, of course, of the elimination of slavery, voting for women, civil right movement of the '60s, to name a few.
These were all rooting in devout people of the Church.
It was pointed out to you that all of these problems you claimed Christianity fixed were caused by Christianity in the first place.
In addition, any progress that can be credited to Christianity came from the liberal elements. Liberal Christians fixed the problems the fundies created. If the fundies had their way, we'd have most of the problems back.
You must really think we are pea-brained if you talk like that.
Christianity invented slavery? Wow. Not only are you ignorant of the Dark Ages but also of slavery.
Early Christians were slaves, remember? Judiasm had rules regarding slavers, so how did Christianity invent it?
Slavery has existed since the beginning of man. Christianity is only 2000 years old.
That is utterly ridiculous. Martin Luther King was a BAPTIST. And Baptists are Fundamentalists.
Wow, I thought debating with you might be rewarding, but you are seriously illiterate in your history.
If you can't do better than that, I'm history.
