The difficulty is in creating the myriad of small parts, thermoplastics, and the barrel assembly/upper. Soon, this reality will be taken into account and observation will be expanded. |

They will say that since you did not make the CNC programs and fixturing yourself it is not legal under the law. They shut down the "Build Parties" a few years ago by the same reasoning. Looks like a cool toy and if you want one maybe pay cash with no trail for the Feds to follow when they steal the customer list from Ghost Gunner. |

Soon, this reality will be taken into account and observation will be expanded. It's not that easy either. You have to have special tools, and it's really hard to maintain uniformity through pieces. Besides, this thing is cheaper than most decent drill presses anyway. The kicker about all those difficult little smaller parts, thermoplastics, and barrel assembly/upper is that you can buy them in cash, legally, without registration from a gun dealer. The Ghost Gunner is for the manufacture of the one part of the gun that you can't just walk out and buy without leaving a paper trail, in most cases. (obviously you could just buy one in cash from someone, but it still has a trail) |

I know that this isn't new tech or anything, but neither was 3D printing when it finally came into the consumer price range. I'd say the man will start "outlawing" those 80% paperweights. "if it looks like a weapon, it has to have a serial number" or some bs line of logic will come out. |

ATFE thugs interpret the law any way they want and even in some cases, like model rocket engines, simply move into an industry without congressional approval. Their authority is illegitimate. So follow the 11th commandment, keep your mouth shut and exercise your God-given rights. And buy the CNC machine with cash or cash-like instruments. NEVER purchase with a credit card tied to you. 100% Natural Unvaxxed Human Being |

Good advice. It's legal, but if it were to become Illegal all the sudden, you wouldn't want to be on a list. I've also heard there are limits on the amounts of those 80% lowers one can have, but I'm not sure of the numbers or particulars. Anyone know? |

I purchased a floor stand model for $100 in perfect condition from a pawn shop. That would be THE ONLY tool used that I would call special and a drill press isn't special in my book!!! But why go through all that when you can get AR lowers for less than a hundred and in some cases on sale for around $50!!!! When you consider most states mine included don't register weapons why are you worried about a paper trail? If you add to that the lack of restriction about person to person selling how do you think they're going to track ANYTHING down???????? BATF to individual: where is the AR receiver you purchased? I sold it! There is no tracking after the sale!!!!!!! |

Quoting: ~sIcKaNdTwIsTeD~ Yeah, I think my state has limits on the amounts, but no law expressly forbidding singular manufacture I think the lack of state legislation is probably may get re-thought once it actually becomes an issue; people making guns at home. |
