All prophecies the bible says will happen in End Times are happening or almost completed at present

News traveled fast - everywhere Elijah and Elisha went - the prophets asked Elisha if he knew his master was to be taken into heaven that day.

And Elisha each time told them he did:

2 King 2:2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.

3 And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Lord will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace.

4 And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the Lord hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho.

Elijah performed his last 2 miracles on earth:

2 Kings 2:8 And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground.

Elijha blessed and gave Elisha twice his prophetic powers:

9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.

But before Elisha realized he had received this wonderful gift - Elijah told him, only if he saw him rise into heaven; and he did.

2 Kings 2:10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.

11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

12 And Elisha saw it

When he saw the chariot of fire, and horses of fire take Elijah to heaven, it's interesting that Elisha cried chariot of Israel, and made a reference to the horsemen.

2 Kings 2:12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof...

Zechariah 6:1 And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots [with horses) out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.

4 Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?

5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.

Elijah rose up out of sight - and Elisha mourned his loss:

2 Kings 2:12 ...And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.

And the mantle was passed on to Elisha:

2 Kings 2:13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him

Notice the words 'took up' in 2 Kings 2:13 - (Synonym: Take on)

The first time I mentioned Elisha's receiving the mantle - I said he was replacing Elijah.

Of course, there is no way Elisha could replace him.

But he was now taking over the role of Elijah as one of the Lord's prophets.

This is true.

The prophets who views Elijah's departure, urged Elisha to search the mountains and valleys, fearing Elijah may have been dashed to death.

Elisha gave in to this, but they never found a body:

16 And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the Lord hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.

17 And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not.

We know from previous posts - this is not the end of Elijah:

Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord

The fact that Elijah will return before the great tribulation conjures up many questions - at least for me.

One is - what nation will he first appear?

My initial thoughts are where he rose into heaven from....

And, apparently, according to some, he's already been back!!

Naturally, there will be those who say that's not so.

He didn't appear physically - but spiritually:

Another vital proof that Elijah did not ascend up to the throne of God but was transported from one place of the earth to another relates to a letter that King Jehoram of Judah received from Elijah several years after Elijah had been taken away; the contents of the letter are found in 2 Chronicles 21:12-15, as reproduced below:

I believe whether he's already been here or not - he'll do exactly what Malachi 4:5 says:

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord

I also think his first appearance will be in Israel

Why?

Because, as usual, God always sends a prophet to warn his people of impending doom.

BS it has always been happening. The fact is our communication flies faster nowadays. We are the most well-read generation ever.

People for 2000 years have been incorrectly saying Jesus would return, or it's already happened.

Well - it couldn't have happened because the technology didn't exist. Until Now!!

You couldn't see something happening on the other side of the world - this passage below makes no sense to anyone living in Jesus time.

Only we today can understand the technology it takes for this to happen (Dan 12-Knowledge will increase):

Rev 13:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall SEE their dead bodies three and an half days lie in the street. (KJV)

This says other people from other nations will SEE their dead bodies in the street.

The tech didn't exist for people to be in a FIELD or someone on a ROOF and both 'simultaneously' seeing something they should act on i.e. the antichrist STANDING in the temple.

Math 24:15 When ye therefore shall SEE the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.

Question is - How are you going to SEE the antichrist stand in the temple from a field or rooftop without a mobile device?

Another question - when did we ever see anyone standing in the temple declaring he is god? (2 Thess 2)

Never!!

Don't forget - we are the most blessed generation

I also think his next prophetic mission after Israel - will be the entire world.

Perhaps as one of the two witnesses, as most think.

Gospel goes first to jews and then gentiles:

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Will he have a web presence?

What's difficult to determine is how he'll do this...

Elijah was taken by God before Jesus was resurrected. Enoch would also qualify and both would become part of the 'many OT Saints' that were resurrected the same morning Jesus was. They would also have ascended to the Re:4 Temple with Jesus and stayed there while Jesus came back to be with a few followers as they went through their 40 day fast.
They would be the 24 Elders and they will have thrones in Jerusalem during the 1,000 year reign. They will instruct the whole House of Israel how temple service is done in a sinless world. It is a class that is 1,000 years long.
Moses is part of the ones in the Eze:37 resurrection and they join the 144,000 and combined they are 'the 12 Tribes', as such Moses would be a member of the 'flock' and the 24 Elders would be the 'shepherd'. The ones alive for the 1,000 years will be shepherds to all the people not alive for the 1,000 years once the new earth era starts.

Behold,
I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children,
and the heart of the children to their fathers,
lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

One of the subjects they would teach is about Satan and the remaining fallen angels are the 'Gog and Magog' in Eze:38 and 38 as Gog does not exist until 7 years and 7 months of the 1,000 year reign has passed. John the Baptist is being referenced in the verses below and together they are the two bruises from Ge:3:15.

and the Lord,
whom ye seek,

I haven't come across the 'blood moons' theory as it was supposed to 'climax' at the solstice coming up according to some theories.
Pre-tribbers were pushing it, I tend to thing the blood moon is caused by the smoke created when Jesus uses the fire used on Sodom is used on Satan's Babylon for a single hour

Ezekiel 37:11 Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.

Ezekiel 37 is all about Israelis returning to their land.

I don't recall any biblical basis for Moses ever residing in Israel...

Remember Israel is Jacob's progeny....
