All prophecies the bible says will happen in End Times are happening or almost completed at present

Micah 7:2 The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net.

Another verse from the above commentary that gives us an idea where we are today:

Matthew 24:37-39 ...'But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.'

Do you see? The reason so many people are carrying on as normal is because they don't see the signs and they don't know what is about to happen to this world.

So they blindly carry on living as if nothing is going to happen, and these people will continue to live normal lives right up until the second coming of Jesus, at which point their lives will come to an abrupt end.

Recently there was a headline in many news outlets stating that 536 was the worst year ever.

Taking that as our basis for what we can consider the worst case scenario for humans up til now - end times will be much, much worse:

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Well - this is what they say the culprit was:

Icelandic volcano erupts, dimming the sun for 18 months, records say. Summer temperatures drop by 1.5°C to 2.5°C.

Like dominoes falling - nation after nation became victims from the aftermath:

Fog plunged Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia into darkness, day and night—for 18 months.

"For the sun gave forth its light without brightness, like the moon, during the whole year," wrote Byzantine historian Procopius. Temperatures in the summer of 536 fell 1.5°C to 2.5°C, initiating the coldest decade in the past 2300 years.

Snow fell that summer in China; crops failed; people starved. The Irish chronicles record "a failure of bread from the years 536–539." Then, in 541, bubonic plague struck the Roman port of Pelusium, in Egypt. What came to be called the Plague of Justinian spread rapidly, wiping out one-third to one-half of the population of the eastern Roman Empire and hastening its collapse, McCormick says.

In Matthew 24 - Jesus tells us the events that will take place during the tribulation.

Pretty much follows what happened In 536:

Mathew 24:7...there shall be famines, and pestilences in diverse places

It won't be a handful of nations, but the entire earth:

Rev 6:8 ...fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

All the things of the great tribulation we see have already happened - but on a much smaller scale.

According to science magazine - everything continued to go downhill from 536:

Two other massive eruptions followed, in 540 and 547. The repeated blows, followed by plague.

In 541, the “Justinian” bubonic plague spreads through the Mediterranean, killing 35%–55% of the population and speeding the collapse of the eastern Roman Empire...

Europe was plunged into economic stagnation that lasted until 640...

All what happened from 536 will be repeated but on a greater scale - It won't just be from chaotic weather.

There will be conflicts and wars that are out of control; all over the earth.

Rev 6:8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Exponential growth of human footprint on the planet may soon cause "the end".

Looking in the Book of Revelation I never find words like 'exponential growth' or 'ecological disaster'.

This time the worst time ever in the history of mankind, won't last decades - but a mere 3 1/2 years.

Here's how Isaiah 24 describes it:

Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.

3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the Lord hath spoken this word.

4 The earth mourneth and fadeth away, the world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish.

5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

God always saves a remnant - no matter how horrendous things are:

Matthew 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation...

22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

Japan Earthquake

It’s hard for us to imagine events that can change the times, but they do happen. Recently, the day was shortened by the 8.9 mag earthquake in Japan when the earth’s rotation sped up by a microsecond.

Here we have the length of the tribulation being cut short:

And if those days [of tribulation] had not been cut short, no human life would be saved; but for the sake of the elect (God’s chosen ones) those days will be shortened.

To shorten does Not necessarily mean to shorten at the end of tribulation. It could also mean to shorten at the beginning of tribulation.

All that needs to happen now is war with Iran the rebuilding of the third temple and the madgog war/ww3 then the knocking down of that war then the world controlled by antichrist opposed against Israel and then the pits of hell for all people who oppose the chosen people of Israel.

Oh, if you only understood context.
Jesus was speaking to his Disciples, Hebrews, not to Gentiles, nor the World.
They were inquiring regarding the fulfillment of God's prophecies to Israel.

I noticed you conveniently skipped verse 16,
16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
Which squarely places the context, to those who are in Israel and what they will see.

Something that is not plainly mentioned is that the current age of technology ( age of the Gentiles ruling the World) will end first.
This is proven by Eze ch 39 and other passages.
39 9 Then those who dwell in the cities of Israel will go out, kindle fires, and burn the weapons— the bucklers and shields, the bows and arrows, the clubs and spears. For seven years they will use them for fuel. 10 They will not gather wood from the countryside or cut it from the forests, for they will use the weapons for fuel. They will loot those who looted them and plunder those who plundered them, declares the Lord GOD.

Showing that there is definite lack of technology( back to burning wood for fuel in order to cook and heat with).
So no electricity or natural gas run appliances.
Also a lack military technology at this time, ( no tanks, planes, guns, etc).
So, no smart phones, video, etc! Sorry.

It must occur this way, in order to produce the power vacuum, for the anti Christ to rise to power, First in the Middle East, and then in the rest of the World.
Currently the Gentile, World powers( USA, Russia, etc) control the Middle East to prevent a major conflict or shift in power, Such as the Rise of the Anti Christ to power. So this must change also before any thing else can happen

Rev 13:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall SEE their dead bodies three and an half days lie in the street. (KJV)

This says other people from other nations will SEE their dead bodies in the street.

I guess I have to 'prove' the tribulation is for the entire world.

I'll start with this:

Matthew 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Here we are in the great tribulation:

Rev 8:13 And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!

7 seal judgements (Rev 6): - Matthew 24, what Jesus calls time of sorrows:

First four seal judgements: 4 horses of apocalypse start journey -

1) NWO-globalization - take over by deception; Math 24, see that no man deceives you.

2) war(terrorism?) - Math 24, nation will rise against nation.

3) price of food soars, - Math 24, there will be famine in diverse places.

4) 1/4 earth men dies (hunger, pestilence, catastrophes, etc) - Math 24, disease; famine; earthquakes.

Next - seals 5, 6 & 7

5) Christians are killed for believing in Jesus - Math 24, many will be killed for my namesake

6) Great earthquake, sun blackens, moon red, many signs in sky takes place; men hide, for the great day of his wrath is come - Matthew 24, what Jesus calls the Great Tribulation starts with this seal.

Matthew 24:22 (B) but (for the elect's sake) those days shall be shortened.

So we know from this passage not everyone was killed: Many of the very elect were kept alive...

So who are the elect referred to here?
