The book of Zechariah is a pre-cursor to the book of Revelation. It, Like Matthew 24, pretty much tells us what is going to take place in the last days.

They're prideful and arrogant:

Jude 1:16 ...and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Jude informs us these were things prophesied by Enoch long ago:

And Jude offers a few words of comfort:

Jude 1:17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time

His tone is much softer, than the harsh criticism he was panning out to the hypocrites of his day:

Jude 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost...

Keeping yourself in the love of God requires consistent self-discipline on your part. You can never get out from under the love of God as far as God is concerned, but you can get out from the blessings that the love of God bestows upon you as you live your life on this earth...
