You don't find arrowheads. They find you. Finding an arrowhead is a good omen and a sign that the Great Spirit is pleased with you. Happy hunting and respect the land!

They were never used to hunt deer, they were pounded into trees and used as insulators for the old telegraph lines. Just because the wires are gone does not mean the people were primitive.
Pointy end goes into tree. The ones with a C shape supported electrified objects as well.

Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country,
don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy.

Re: Found an old indian flint arrowhead....
My parents retired to a plot of land on a hilltop in the East Texas Big Thicket that had been owned by my grandparents since the early 20th century. My grandfather farmed the land and found hundreds of arrow points over the years. My dad’s brother uses some of the land for raising vegetables he sells at the farmer’s markets. He still finds arrowheads to this day.

I believe that the natives had a settlement there or at least used it to practice and make arrowheads. Either that, or they were poor shots who lost a LOT of their arrows lol.

Oh WOW.
I posted this 5 years ago.
I remember that day. I did get a deer that season, my first deer with a bow.
I have that arrow head in a case with some of my special finds.
Cool someone dug up this old thread.
Thanks.

Means there were red-haired giants, the true indigenous people of this land, in the area of which they slaughtered.

They inexplicably hauled a snow white core stone of almost pure silica down from the mountains to make ours. The similar shapes and degree of standardization makes me think pre- plastic insulator, for the literal forest telegraph

After the Spanish cut the wires, the Indians resorted to using Morse code on drums
