Sure. I'd say that. IF this was the only volcano making noise. But it's part of a current collective of volcanoes. Chile, Hawaii, Japan, Phillipines, Iceland...and the list goes on. Since mid-August volcanoes are just going berserk. The planet is moving!

This activity is normal, Popo has been erupting like this for years now. Alert level is still yellow. I would worry if the lake starts filling up again suddenly and other volcanoes in the area start acting up. Until then, this thread is misinformed wishful doom thinking.

It's oddly not being reported even in the volcano realm which report on every eruption and every watch and every volcano related quake.

I've been googling around since I saw this thread and the news just isn't out there. Heck, even we volcanotards in the Bardabunga thread hadn't reported on it yet.
