This happened in my city on the 24th of September. A couple in a car,with 2 children in the back seat, were stopped by the police for a seatbelt violation. The woman, who was the driver, wasn't wearing a seatbelt, but everyone else in the car was wearing theirs. Here is the link for the story, and for the vid. One of the kids in the back seat of the car recorded it all. The people are suing. [ link to www.nwitimes.com] Any thoughts on the info in the article you posted? Such as the 13 minute video showing a completely different story? The attempt to flee? The use of stop sticks? What was the legal status of the passenger? Was there a warrant for his arrest? There was no warrant for any occupants arrest. Stop sticks were put in front of the car, even though the occupants complied. The guy was charged with resisting arrest ONLY. This story available on the site has been changed from the earlier story, with the addition of the mayors b.s. This is not the first time he has claimed to have video backing his side, and it turns out to be hogwash. Sounds like another open and shut case of DWB. Maybe next time they will think twice about being black before entering their car. Sadly, you are probably right about the DWB.
