If the US Government determines there's a shortage of healthcare workers in a pandemic can it conscript previous healthcare workers to duty?

Conscript previous healthcare workers AND current healthcare workers?

The US Government can likely conscript/draft civilians as they see fit to fill high demand positions where there are shortages in a time of crisis.......like a pandemic. And there would be consequences of deserting conscription: Incarceration. If deserters escaped to another country I would assume they'd face pro-forma arrest if ever tried to enter the US again.......

Just a thought......particularly after I've been seeing an uptick in stories the past few days about nurses talking about deserting if TSHF.

Even if their was a pandemic, I doubt retired healthcare workers would want to rejoin the workforce

There are executive orders written that puts government "legally" into virtual God Mode.

this force is getting tiring.

as it stands now canada and the US advocate unbiblical values, which are not something to fight for.

governments are on borrowed time.

the government had better smarten up and follow biblical laws
and the people will want to sacrifice for the greater good.

Re: If the US Government determines there's a shortage of healthcare workers in a pandemic can it conscript previous healthcare workers to duty?
Several years ago during one of the flu scares, I was working doing medical transcription work at a large city hospital. Now, I have some RN training but most of the clerical staff doesn't know that much more medical care than the average person.

HQ sent around a memo saying that if the ER and ward staff were 'unable' to work during a flu outbreak, we clerical staff would be expected to report to work for whatever we were assigned...

We all looked at each other and said, 'yeah, rrrriiigghttt', including the MD that was working in our department after he'd retired from working in a leprosy colony, of all things...

My question is are they treating Duncan (and are treating the Nurse) in a hospital that is using the same level of protection as is used by CDC scientists studying this virus at the CDC in Atlanta? If not, why not???!

Such would be a violation of the 13th Amendment against "involuntary servitude and slavery." Of course, given the "long train of abuses" by our government, it may be necessary "to resort to the original right of self defense" DECLARED in the 2nd Amendment and the 9th Amendment.
