Would volunteer's even be up for consideration? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 55915768 Right now they are seeking volunteers. If they cant get people to volunteer for the jobs i suspect if it gets bad enough that they could legally sequester licensed nurses and force them under some government regulation to work. Could they do that to HHA's ? |

Today I received the following email... Quoting: TrixieMama Dallas Area Needs ICU and ER Nurses to assist Ebola Nursing Needs Kelly Davenport To (BLOCKED OUT FOR MY OWN PRIVACY) Today at 12:21 PM Good Afternoon, We received the below email from one of our staffing sources. This is a very difficult need to ask for assistance for from all of you I know. Nurses are often on the front lines when it comes to new and frightening diseases as you would be in this case. This might also be an opportunity to study the process of this disease and help to stop its spread throughout the U.S. Please read below and if you would consider this assignment please let us know. Hello Everyone, As you all know we have a situation in Dallas that is escalating in response to Ebola. The facilities there are in desperate need for ED and ICU nurses. At this point we do not have additional information in regards to rates, housing, etc. At this point we need to know of your nurses have a compact licensure and would be willing to go if needed. Please let us know as soon as possible. I've been a member of GLP for 4 years and I know "pic or it didn't happen", LOL. Friends, this is REALLY disturbing. In 15 years of working with different agencies I have NEVER gotten an email like this. I think this helps prove things are MUCH MUCH worse than we are being told. I live on the West Coast, the only reason they would reach out nationwide is if they have an overwhelming amount of patients or a mass amount of nurses walk off the job. I suspect that they are expecting MASS impact from Duncan's case. The aren't expecting only a couple people to fall ill with Ebola, they are expecting an outbreak of pandemic proportions. This email speaks volumes!! I will update with a link to photo when I figure out how to do it. They will if the virus is travelling to Texas through Mexico and not Africa. Turkey, Greece, Italy, Spain bordering by sea to Africa. Where are the cases? All this hysteria about an American Staste bordering ole Mexico and its "trusty" Government? |

[link to www.cdc.gov] "BSL-4 builds upon the containment requirements of BSL-3 and is the highest level of biological safety. There are a small number of BSL-4 labs in the United States and around the world. The microbes in a BSL-4 lab are dangerous and exotic, posing a high risk of aerosol-transmitted infections. Infections caused by these microbes are frequently fatal and without treatment or vaccines. Two examples of microbes worked with in a BSL-4 laboratory include Ebola and Marburg viruses." |

One of the doctors in Liberia said, "The virus was always ahead of us". You can see it now, yes? All a function of greed, sloth, hubris. I wondered how it would go, what would break first. For ten years, I've been cross-country over the United States, eight times now and the greed, sloth and hubris got worse each year. I wasn't religious when I started and I still wonder a lot but wow, this really looks like a biblical judgement. |
