They just admitted that in advanced stages there is no fever...

Just speculation: Maybe they were able to test his blood for other common illnesses, discovered he has something else. Because of that they feel confident they don't need to bother testing him for Ebola. However, they can't tell us what he does have because of privacy issues.

I would feel better about that scenario.

I'm feeling uneasy about this. The Eric Finley UMC spokesperson who says the patient doesn't have Ebola and will be released and monitored, also stated that Ebola isn't airborne.

Why all of a sudden are we hearing about Africans flying, always alone on weird flights? From places they don't even live? But they are from Africa? And have Ebola. All of a sudden! Somebody needs to be looking into these travelers and their families bank accts and see if they've had a large deposit made recently. They may be offering their paid services as terrorists to infiltrate our country and spread pestilence. In exchange for money to help their families. And just hope they don't die, but are to spread it around as much as possible before they die. There's more to this than we know. No travel ban? I have a very bad case of Ménière's disease. If somebody saw me having an attack in public, and they have. They would think now that I have Ebola. Projectile vomiting, dizzy, falling down eyes wobbling around, unable to see or speak. It would scare me if it happened in public right now. I'd be afraid of scaring others. Once a woman walked up to me in a parking lot while I was throwing up violently and started a chat with me. She stepped in my vomit. I was more than embarrassed and just wanted to be left alone. But now, it would scare her to death to me in that shape. So, there are other things that look like Ebola. Aside from no fever or diareah. Ménière's attacks are pretty bad and could initially be thought to be Ebola. Some of these may be other illnesses.

Logically, in this case if he had such a disease the patient would have let them know and I doubt they would have initiated protocols. Also, one of the symptoms is diarrhea.

LIABILITY--plain and simple. The hospital does not want it. The release completely goes against standard procedures of care.

UMC is a county hospital. With even the "scare" of ebola lingering the non paying patients would flock to the other hospitals-be denied care and open the door for lawsuits.

Okay, I call cover up. After saying they were going to test the woman in DC, then they said she doesn't have Ebola (giving the impression they tested her and test came back negative), now they say THEY ARE NOT GOING TO TEST HER.

That's two people with Ebola-like symptoms in Lubbock and Loudon they are refusing to test. This is baffling.
