"The passenger had voluntarily entered quarantine on board the ship and remains free of any fever or other symptoms of illness."

"After a whole day of conversation back and forth between the Belize and US Government we are told that at about 8:00 PM Belize Time the ship was ordered to leave Belizean Waters and to return back to the US."

"It is unsure of who the passenger was who is believed to possibly have the Ebola virus but according to rumors, one of the nurses who dealt with the Ebola Patient in Texas was said to have left a few days ago on vacation and was supposed to have been attending a cruise."

How are they going to spin this? Are they going to make it so bad no American can go anywhere? Please people, have sense. If you have been exposed to Ebola don't travel far away from home or enclosed spaces with other people. Don't look to your government, they don't care. They'd probably love to spread the Ebola love all over. These people (leaders) are either evil or highly incompetent.

This shit is so outrageous, it makes one think no nurse would do any of this. Is it really a hoax? I just cannot see the events unfolding in this manner.

I did a google search and it says around 788.1 nautical miles. So depending on how fast they are going... Based on Wikipedia Carnival Magic sails somewhere between 22-25 knots.

So if they skip the other port of call in Cozumel, I'm assuming they'd be home in the next day and a half? Don't quote me on that though. hf

Doesn't seem like the best place to get sick.
So will this be the first group put into FEMA camps? How else are they going to monitor 5,000 people?

Does the admin realize how far they have fallen in trust and world standing when Belize won't take your word that the risk is low. Belize is putting the safety of its people first.

THIS worries me too: "The Carnival Magic departed from Galveston Texas on Sunday, October 12 arrived in Mahogany Bay, Honduras on Wednesday October 15 and arrived in Belize this morning, Thursday October 16."

If that patient is sick, they may have gotten off of the ship in Honduras and been in contact with several locals.

That would be logical if the goal was protecting Americans. This admin will let them all go home then be like oopsie we lost these people but they are low threat. The chances of them getting sick exceedingly low.
