This sounds like one o' them thar Mexican "Flying Men", somewhat off-course.

there is technology so that man can fly.. small antigravity device generally worn as a belt... 3500 feet however is probably a bit to high up there to breathe very well but some advanced beings have super lungs and a different need for oxygen.

3500 feet would not be an oxygen problem... need to get well over 5000 feet before that gets to be an issue..

Maybe a guy with one of those James Bond jet packs... there are functional units like that now.

Google wingsuit, there are people who go out and have adventures.

They may not be able to overtake an airliner but they could intercept one.

How fast would one have to be going to go past an airplane?

The pilots say the man looked as if he was hanging from something (but they didn't see the something in question). Which means the man was uprigth, not in "wingsuit flying" position.

Yeah 'cause all the passengers sit there with a window seat on the correct side with cameras/phones continually ready throughout the flight just waiting to take a picture

3,500 isn't too high to breathe. People skydive from much higher altitudes on a daily basis without respirators.

They are talking about an Airbus A320 here.
A320 is a narrow body jet.

Let's say you take a high density machine from a popular airline such as United.

You will have

12 pax in First Class
42 pax in Premium Economy
96 pax in Economy

[link to www.seatguru.com]

We are very far from 525 even less 850 people.

Commercial airliners carrying 850 passengers do not exist at this stage.

Re: Man flew past an Airbus full of passengers over Macclesfield at 3,500ft

Pilots on a holiday jet were left stunned when a 'flying man' whizzed past their aircraft at 3,500 feet.

The mystery man flew within 100 metres of the plane and left the pilots baffled as to how he was moving through the air, as neither could see a canopy suspending him.

There was also no sign of him on the radar and further checks failed to reveal any paragliders, parachutists or balloonists in the area at the time.
