We're also expected to work a job, part-or-full time, take care of the house work and kids (a full-time job on it's own), and look perfect (read the above post where someone state an ooze-something-troll with a moldy vagina or something along those lines).

Yes, those are negatives, but if you're smart you learn to put yourself in safer situations to by pass most of that. You also forgot the menstral cycle which is a pain in the ass.

But, I have to say that even with all that, there are some very good things about being a woman. I love that we are able to express our emotions and not stuff them down in fear of not being seen as girly. Men have so much more rules of behavior if they want to appear as masculine. They learn early to stuff their emotions and suck it up. And I really think this causes emotional pain which they aren't even allowed to express for fear of being labeled feminine. Expectations for being the breadwinner and being successful are put on them heavily and not so much for women. They are expected to be tough and strong, even when they are just as frightened as we are. I think they need a lot more hugs than they get:)

Overall, I prefer being female. I have a hard enough time fulfilling the expectations place on me by my family. I think that would be magnified if I were male.

When you're kids - boys and girls play together - all the same - some girls are tom boys and its no big deal and some boys really want a turn of your cindy and its no big deal - and you understand eachother without having to communicate the understanding - you fight the same - like the same - everything is kind of the same and equal - then you grow up - and .... oosh... and now i can see it is true - males and females are wired differently - I know what someone on here said - all individuals with individual personalities - but there are differences in the ways males and females interpret the same things in my opinion - where does it all change?

When you're kids - there is no league - who is in whose league - there is no - appropriate - there is no problem if someone does or doesn't come out to play or who plays with who - no jealousy - no competition - no fashion - no status - no comparison - no bullshit - are all these problems down to sexuality - when it hits - when you;re kids - there is no problem with "good looking" hanging out with "geek" etc


kids these days are growing up so quickly - these issues are appearing more and more at a younger age - all the what will my friends say/ do/ how will they react/ respond - what happens to the carefreedom?


Being a woman - makes it harder to be a kid - why are there no adult size parks with adult size swings and seesaws and slides - I love going out to play. I love to bike ride and scooter and play kerbie and fly my kite - I love to lie in the grass and watch the clouds - go on tree swings and turn over rocks and see what's there - i hate doing dishes and ironing and vacuuming and mopping and windows - oosh - I want to go out to play.
