As per executive order 66, elections, all means of transportation or communication have been frozen.

I switched from uverse to antenna. NBC is showing the Today show. No mention of emergency message on the antenna, only on uverse.

Same here in Austin.

Weird. White House mention was very odd. Not the usual once a month or every few months blaring test.

This one stayed on for a minute or so (even after powering down fully a few times) and it forces changed to local NBC station. Nothing else happened.

Is this "Plan B" as a backup plan for Nov elections? jk jk

Same here in North Carolina. TV switched to local news channel. Radio stations blaring EMS tone...WTF!!!!

I turned on another TV and it did same, all tvs are force tuned to NBC and everyone is acting normal, still showing banner across the top saying stay tuned for emergency alert

in Lansing, Michigan, nothing out of ordinary. can move about all cable channels (and local) normally.

One thought: maybe this is an emergency test by one specific multi-state cable company? Maybe for those who are getting the alert, state which cable service you have...
