Emergency Alert - forced tuned my tv station!!! Just now

The delay could also be waiting for the other providers to post the message. It seems like it's only AT&T at the moment.

Well, if anyone was watching RT and Putin making his speech, this would force them to stop.

Do you know anything about this? My channel was changed by force from the White House due to an emergency message. I can't change the channel adn it's about how to do your laundry...

If you are a Uverse customer and are getting an emergency alert on your TV, this is a nationwide issue. AT&T is aware and working on it.

There is nothing on Google had to search BING for results. On phone w ATT Uverse now they have no idea what is going on...If there is some emergency that DC needs to tell us about, from 6 a.m. until 9:19 a.m. I think they should tell us and GET ME OFF NBC!!! I do not like watching my news from the NBC Liberal Agenda channel.

I just looked at a Uverse forum where people were talking about the issue. Someone said they just spoke to someone from ATT and they say it's a "fluke" and they are working on fixing the "outage".

The message scrolls pretty fast but says this is a real emergency, stay off phones, stay tuned to local channels for further info..

Also says its a uverse thing and if you don't have uverse to tune into local stations for emergency info

I live in GA, u-verse att&t is my cable provider, Sam message for over 20 minutes....it doesn't matter how many times you turn your tv off it still force changes the channel to the today show. but if you actually read the scrolling message it says its specifically testing certain areas, don't use your telephone....and yet still no message we are being forced to watch has come up and or on. Seems really odd, and the fact that all three of my school aged children had just got on their buses and then this weird message crap happens just seems plain odd. I think if they are going to make me watch a certain channel, they should start paying my bill.

Love not having control over my own TV. Uverse could run a banner across the bottom of the screens that says we are trying to fix this problem.

Credit should be put on each person's bill I think... Hmmm...

Family was watching TV before school this AM. The TV threw up some message from the White House that my TV was being force changed to receive some Emergency Alert from the White House.

My TV has changed to NBC and I cannot change the channel nor watch recorded TV.

This is an Emergency Action Notification. Your channel has been force changed to receive the Emergency Alert from the White House ... that's the message.
