[link to forums.att.com (secure)] And how did this radio show automatically change people's channels and lock down TV's? Exactly! How is this even possible, I thought someone explained that it takes several people with special access to even activate it? Hey, just consider yourself fortunate that they didn't blame it on a YouTube video. |

Yeah, this won't sit well now that people know how it will go down. There will be political fall out from this. Think you are right & I've posted a similar list of escalation-points a few weeks ago. 1) This along with other websites will go down... probably "temporarily down for maintenance" or that "404 page not found" error code. 2) Those random cell towers that no one claims belongs to them... It was in the news a month or two ago. Well, those towers will start jamming your cell signals (among other things) - no more talking & finding your loved ones. 3) Choppers in the air ... moving those people that need to get hither-to-tither and monitoring the ground movements. 4) Power grid & water... restricting travel as well. water rationing... 5) Public address by POTUS THIS SITE WAS DOWN... at noon for about 1-2 minutes... as was B I N.... -SA |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 14582371 United States 10/24/2014 02:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree with the poster who said this would be hard to screw up. There has to be a protocol in place - like a three or five tire action fir that broadcast and radio broadcast to roll out. Is there a possibility that we are getting some kind of head's up by certain people? Something is definitely going on here and the more time that goes by without a news conference concerns me. It wasn't perfectly executed since only certain people in the country had this happen to them. Why was that? Is this just to incite fear and no other reason? There has to be a reason or purpose. Nothing is an accident. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 63492018 I truly believe that they are testing to roll out the EAS in only certain areas. What people have to understand is that the EAS was designed to alert the entire nation, not just regions. So was AT&T was targeted as an attempt to test modification of the system by region? Another method of transporting digital information across a large infrastructure is by sending a low current carrier signal across power lines. If there were power outages anywhere in Northern Texas or Northern Georgia, there is your smoking gun. Grid isolation, send the signal, and it stops in that region alone. Can anyone confirm power outages in Northern Texas or Northern Georgia? I am in metro Atlanta, north Georgia...no power outages here. North Texas DFW no power outage |

[link to forums.att.com (secure)] And how did this radio show automatically change people's channels and lock down TV's? From my understanding a radio station cannot send over EAS, only recieve. Even if they could, there is no verification or authentication of a message? That was one of the reasons why they can't send...EAS has to originate from much higher up on the chain.
