Eyewitness to Hell: Ebola in Liberia through the Lens of a Photographer
'One twist of an infected door knob or an accidental brush past a stranger can be your death sentence.'

'It was the thing I could not feel, smell or touch, that I feared the most.'

'Then I saw a dead woman on the floor surrounded by pools of her own vomit, and Ebola became real.'

Re: Eyewitness to Hell: Ebola in Liberia through the Lens of a Photographer
As sad as these images are, it is about to get a whole lot worse - not just in Africa but around the world. To spark the needed action here in the US we need Americans to realize that yes, this horror has its sights on them and their loved ones. It is a personal threat to each of us, the threat is real and immediate, the response to the threat must be effective and immediate also.

Re: Eyewitness to Hell: Ebola in Liberia through the Lens of a Photographer
Thank you Vivian for this thread.

The photos by this brave journalist are truly
heart-breaking. Those who are screaming that
the ebola outbreak is a "fiction" are doing a
huge disservice to themselves and their loved
ones, as they will not be physically nor
emotionally prepared for seeing this in their
own city.
I believe the ebola virus is the number 1
threat to the U.S.A. since WWII. Public pressure
needs to come to bear upon our top policy
makers to create a travel ban and for mass
education campaigns so that people really know
what they are dealing with. Check out this
GLP thread! From GLP's "Charles"

Just watching the "clean-up crew" in NYC NOT
using protective equipment and just casually
carrying bins of contaminated materials from
the NYC "ebola-doctor's" apartment, while people
just brush by them walking up the street, has me
totally freaked-out! They didn't even block off
the sidewalk while they carried this stuff down
from his apartment. Un-friggin'believable!

This "hidden camera" on the "Carnival Magic"
last week--the cruise ship refused Port in Belize
and Mexico due to ebola fears--shows another
unprotected group of "cleaners" putting themselves
and others in grave dangers in sanitizing the
ship's "hot" sections!

(From a Maritime Law Journal for cruise ship
companies facing law suits due to health!)

The "comedy of errors" is going to be our doom.
Again, thanks for the thread.
