I have been sick dude, since August. It sucks.
 Quoting: RadChick

If you are sick from Radiatian poisoning of any kind the treatment is lots and lots of Turmeric mixed in hot water. Add honey to taste, once you get the taste for it - it's not bad.

It will also cure colon cancers and a bunch of cancers so - just saying.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48896562

I have been juicing/blender tumeric root and lately a little ground pepper with a splash of lemon juice and base of kombucha.

sometimes I add ginger and/or garlic and/or banana and some greens.

fresh tumeric root seems to be helping back pain, inflammation and a host of other health issues.
it's brought my stamina back.

highly recommend.

Maybe the plume of the leak can be tracked by following the pitted car windshields.

Seattle Windshield Pitting Epidemic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

The Seattle Windshield Pitting Epidemic is a phenomenon which affected Bellingham, Seattle, and other communities of Washington state in April, 1954; it is considered an example of a mass delusion.[1] It was characterized by widespread observation of previously unnoticed windshield holes, pits and dings, leading residents to believe that a common causative agent was at work. It was originally thought to be the work of vandals but the rate of pitting was so great that residents began to attribute it to everything from sand flea eggs to nuclear bomb testing.

Very hard to find updates on this story! From KFVS12 4 hrs ago:

"A leak Sunday night at the Honeywell plant in Metropolis is currently under investigation, according to Peter Dalpe who works with the company.

Dalpe says the leak, which happened around 7:30 p.m., was due to an equipment failure in the main production building.

There were no injuries reported and there is no indication that any UF6 material left the site, according to Dalpe."

Re: ALERT: Nuclear Accident in Illinois tonight at Honeywell plant, shelter in place
Per the RSOE emergency map:

[link to hisz.rsoe.hu]

A Honeywell spokesperson says there is not an active release at the plant anymore. Emergency personnel are still working to determine a specific source of the release. Peter Dalpe said the white cloudy substance many people reported seeing at the plant is spray from the water towers used to contain leaks. The mitigation towers were directed at the production facility to ensure that no material escaped the building. Daple said that is standard emergency procedure at the site. We have received multiple phone calls to the newsroom tonight over a rumor that the Honeywell plant in Metropolis is leaking uranium hexa-floride, or UF6, into the community. We have contacted the Massac County Sheriff's Office. They tell us Honeywell is releasing UF6, but it is an in-house release. The sheriff's office says no one is in any danger. Honeywell Spokesperson Peter Dalpe sent our newsroom a statement that reads, "The Metropolis facility experienced a leak of UF6 in its main production building at approximately 7:35 p.m. local time. The leak has been contained and a trained response team is currently working to ensure the leak has been stopped completely. There have been no injuries and there is no indication that any material has left the building. All plant emergency procedures were followed and safety equipment worked as designed." Dalpe also said the plant immediately notified emergency responders as per emergency procedures.

Misleading and fear-mongering title.
Honeywell plant is a chemical manufacturing plant. Not a Nuclear Power Plant. So this would be a chemical leak accident or pushing it, you could call it a radiation leak. But this is not a Nuclear accident.

Maybe because what they are doing is called Nuclear Reprocessing. You know, enriching uranium for use in Nuclear Fuel.

This is actually even WORSE because in addition to the nuclear component of the uranium, which is a gamma emitted and drops radon daughters all over the place, Hydrofluric acid (created when they dump water or foam on the mess) is extremely toxic and corrosive.

"Uranium hexafluoride (UF6), referred to as "hex" in the nuclear industry, is a compound used in the uranium enrichment process that produces fuel for nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons. It forms solid grey crystals at standard temperature and pressure, is highly toxic, reacts violently with water and is corrosive to most metals."

What do you think it does to lungs?

I should change the title, because it is actually a NUCLEAR+CHEMICAL ACCIDENT. Thanks.

Uranium hexafluoride release tonight at Honeywell Works, Metropolis, IL.
Posted on October 26, 2014

There was a confirmed uranium hexafluoride release at Honeywell Works in Metropolis, IL at 8pm tonight. Sirens have sounded and Honeywell guards have told people to shelter in place, close windows, and turn off A/C.

First video:

[link to optimalprediction.com]

At the moment FEMA Illinois is saying leak is contained to the building.

They waited til late to release this news tonoght, probably hoping to get it under control by morning.

Will post more info as I get it.

Hopefully no one. Windows shut tight here in Detroit. I'm checking wind maps to confirm but I was told it is heading towards STL.

The plant sits across the Ohio River from Paducah.

I'm sensing shades of WIPP. What areas of the facility are innacesible because of the leak, and what's happening in those areas due to that corrosive matterial and the fact no one can get in there.

I wouldn't be surprised if no alarm sounded indicating that there was an external release. It's entirly possible that's because they don't have any external monitors. Or that they are safe in a room somewhere.

live in the area?... go to the health food store... get some baby formula in a tin... read the back and/or the front ... since 2012 they now add stable iodine... drink some every morning and night to protect yourself from iodine and your thyroid....

betadine is another, (the orange stuff they put on wounds), dime coin swab above your navel morning and night

do these things until you get the all clear....
 Quoting: Citizenperth

Also Apple Pectin and/or ghee (clarified butter) in copious amounts. IF it's just the UHF then the iodine won't help. However, it certainly won't hurt, and at this point we have no idea what happened, so be smart and get the baby formula and baby food applesauce.

And have an authentic chicken tikka masala, with lots of masala.

For the next few days, at least.

Just because today, I can't stand DS.
"Nuclear Accident in Illinois tonight at Honeywell plant,"
I don't see power plant in that title. DA

Honeywell Uranium Hexafluoride Processing Facility, a uranium conversion facility, is located 3 km northwest of Metropolis, Illinois. The plant, Honeywell Specialty Chemicals in Metropolis, Illinois, has a nominal capacity of 15,000 tU uranium per year. The plant manufactures a variety of products, but about 80 percent of the plant's work involves refining raw uranium ore into uranium hexafluoride. Across the Ohio river in Paducah, Kentucky, the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, can enrich the uranium hexafluoride into various levels for nuclear power or nuclear weapon purposes.[1] ConverDyn, a general partnership between affiliates of Honeywell and General Atomics, is the exclusive agent for conversion sales from the Metropolis Works.
