Why did the young man decided to take that action? Seems he was popular and had friends. Most kids in that situation can handle rejection. Maybe if true that one of his cousins stole his girlfriend was the reason. Just so sad that some young kids think problems are the end all of everything at that moment in time. I wish we could turn back time and make it go away for all those effected. |

However, the media isn't reporting on this or hasn't released the ex-girlfriends name. I'm guessing because people will draw their own conclusions on the motive? I mean, it's all over Twitter on their friends pages who are in mourning. Nonetheless, it's a very tragic event & I pray for all those affected. |

nutmeg User ID: 63530959 United States 10/27/2014 10:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Officials at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett confirmed the death of 14-year-old Gia Soriano. Another girl was killed during the shooting Friday by a popular freshman at Marysville-Pilchuck High School north of Seattle. The shooter, Jaylen Fryberg, died of a self-inflicted wound. Quoting: 411 Three other students remain hospitalized, two in critical condition and one in serious condition. MORE.... [link to www.newsday.com] How sad. I read an article that said, when they were in surgery, or the first day it happened, those girls could not even be identified because of the severity of their head wounds. All three girls... the one who died, and the two with head wounds, were so beautiful. I saw photos of them on facebook...they looked so happy...so carefree....so pretty! |

Zoe (the ex-girlfriend) died at the scene. The two other girls had severe head wounds. Andrew (Zoe's new boyfriend) was shot in the jaw. |

I wish we could turn back time and make it go away for all those effected. Not sure if the cousin "stole" his girlfriend. She chose to do so. Kids that age change boyfriends/girlfriends every month or so. I went through it with two daughters when they were teens. Some kids are more dramatic and take it more seriously than others. I talked to my kids and they tried to never take any "relationship" too seriously. I always told them, "The next one will be better." And both said to me..."You know, you're right!" Sure...you cry with a break-up, and it hurts...but young teens have to accept it. I used to tell my daughters to not take the boyfriend/girlfriend thing seriously until they're out of college. :) We've told my grandson the same thing...all through his teenage years. He took our advice and has been fine! He's 18 now, and a great kid. He never would go over the edge about any disappointment in his life. He takes everything in stride. Great kid. I wish they would teach this stuff in school and have every parent/guardian do the same. Last Edited by nutmeg on 10/27/2014 11:10 AM |

Whether his cousin betrayed him or not or it was all in his head - or his young mind didn't perceive the reality of the situation - he was deeply hurt. The kid was not on drugs, not a nutcase, didn't shoot random people, he had targets whome he felt betrayed by. Unfortunately people kill when they are hurt sometimes. There's nothing to figure out. It is what it is, the girl he liked didn't like him back and was with whom he considered a brother. |

Lil Sis User ID: 64287711 United States 10/27/2014 11:49 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | She is the daughter of two of my daughter's classmates. My daughter emailed me last night that the parents decided to remove life support. Other members of my daughter's class are shaken by it, understandably. My belief is that in these 'drills' that they go live and kill a few, but that they have crisis actors on the scene for interviews and to make sure there is maximum chaos. I read on a website that rents out crisis actors that the actors are there to lend reality to the situation. Did not say anything about the other stuff they do. ************************************************************************ Corruptisima re publica plurimae leges. ~ Terence |

Look at the pictures and videos of the grieving students and parents...it looks like real sadness and human emotion. Body language and facial expressions pour out sadness and loss. Now compare that to the sandy hook actors...no tears, no emotions, no sad faces or sad body language. And SH was shoved down our throat. This Washington event has been barely mentioned. Even on glp it's barely been brought up. I doubt many people will even read this thread |
