Can someone explain why conservatives hate liberals so much? I want facts not rhetoric.

I do not know about other conservatives only me, I don't hate the person that is a Liberal, I pray they come out of it. It is a wrong head thing to think liberalism is right for people, it has never worked. It leads to bad trouble and we are reaping what liberal have sown.

Liberals are not critical thinkers nor are they honest. Liberals do not have ideas of their own. Everything they think was implanted there by the social engineering mechanism. Everything a liberal says is diametrically opposed to herself and she doesn't even realize it.

As for the original question I believe it is because conservativism in the 21st century is based solely on emotion. Fear, greed and religion (was that redudant ?) are what drives the right wing machine. The party, the churches , the media-news which the conservatives surround themselves with all whip those emotions into a feenzy.

All of that saiud, it must be pointed out that Liberals are just as hateful and they are just as prone to the same manipulations as the right.

Sad really, we could accomplish so much if we could all take the blinders off.

Sometimes, hate is WELL deserved. When you help to systematically DESTROY a formerly prosperous, respected, and greatest nation in the history of mankind, and then replace it with degeneracy, political "correctness", lies, deception, and sheer INSANITY, then don't be surprised if you are hated.

I think it is because their core social and financial values are under threat with the rise of liberalism in the USA.

You could see the reaction from the republicans after the last election, they were stunned that they lost after putting so much effort in to campaigning and having so much ammunition to throw at the Obama administration. Many polls suggested that the republicans had a great chance and from what I could tell conservatives were very confident but in the end it was a convincing win from Obama.

That has to worry conservatives and if they lose the next election as well despite all the issues Obama has helped create, especially the national debt issue then I think the ill feeling will increase between the two sides, especially from the conservatives who will surely start fearing for the mid to long term future of their party/ideals.

Before conservatives always significantly hated liberals but their chances of winning was always as good if not better than the liberals so it wasn't as overtly intense. Now the liberals are a much more powerful presence and conservatism is much more at risk the emotional response will naturally be stronger.

In my opinion the main source of divide stems from where it always has in the US: the Federalist/Anti-Federalist divide, aka the Federal-centric vs. State-centric power struggle.

Dems see the country as needing a strong government with people serving it. Those who lean right see the country as strong people with the government serving as a referee to make sure no one gets too out of line. Try to put one group in complete control of the other and you get a almost necessary violent reaction out of self-defense as there is no way one group can survive intact other the other.

The "hate" is just the consequence of the pendulum motion going from one side to the other on the paradigm. Instead of losing momentum each swing this mechanism in society has actually gained power as it's taken more violent movements to get the other side in power. Only problem is eventually there will be too much swing and something will have to give.

Worst part is we were warned of the consequences of this by George Washington in his farewell address...
