Second chandler police officer killed by distracted motorists in three days

Now some cop will have to murder some poor dumb slob for no good reason to even up the score.

Lot's of people are killed by distracted motorists... I don't see why singling out cops makes it more alarming.

It's like saying who cares about all the dead citizens but DAMN MAN! The COPS be getting killed by dem motorists!

I think it's terrible that anyone is being killed by idiot drivers. We are all humans here, and life matters to each of us equally.

You can thank your fellow officers for my lack of concern over your loss.

Some of us have respect for those men and women who chose to put there lives on the line on a daily basis to maintain some resemblance of sanity in this society. To have two of them struck down in a similar manner within days of each other stands out to at a minimum, our community.

I am in no way here to start an argument not will I be coaxed into one.

I want to pass along some local info and ask for thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of the fallen officers and to ask every one out there to be a little more careful.

It's simply the inherent and pretty much uncontrollable risk of choosing to ride a motorcycle. You can be as careful as you want and still cannot control the actions of other drivers, many of whom are distracted by technology, which is worse than being drunk in most cases.

just the other day a drunk cop kill a innocent citizen leaves the scene with the man dying in the street.
when finally caught this drunk cop says yes i was drinking.....
later all charges dropped....he still was DUI....still killed the man....and still is a cop........

so this thread is to say what?

may try a different approach....

a distracted motorist hit and killed a person on a motorcycle.


no need to try to bring more....like hay he was a hero he was a cop and now this cop is dead we must honor him more.

I'm not trying to coax you into an argument. But I don't share the same idea that we need to elevate a police officer into some status that they are "better-than-you" so when a cop dies we need to all go North Korean and cry in outrage.

Yes its terrible that people die from accidental deaths. Why should this person get more attention and his family more support. Oh I see.. he was a police officer so that makes him better-than-you.

I don't see police as heroes like the media tries to play it out. And I can tell you straight up... doctors save more lives than police officers.

When I put it into perspective like this.

How many times have I been robbed by a criminal: 0.
How many times have I been harassed by a criminal: 0.


How many times have I been fined by a police officer for some very minor traffic issue (burnt out light, rolling stop, failure to signal, a few over the speed limit): Over 20.

How many thousands of dollars is that? Probably like over $3000. Do I feel robbed... damn right I do.

How many times have I been stopped and harassed by police: at least 10 times.

I've been arrested just for walking home late at night because a cop had nothing better to do in the shit town where I lived than to pull over, check me out and arrest me because I was walking, minding my own business with a few beer in me.

How many shitty stories have I read about police brutality, children being shot and killed or blown up by police, or old ladies being tazered or assaulted? Almost daily.

How many police state stories am I now reading where police over extend their authority into some authoritarian complex which is nothing more than the right-arm of tyranny?

So far I have yet to thank a police officer for doing anything other than pulling me over, fining me, harassing me. They certainly haven't come to my aid, and fixed any of my problems. If anything, they have been the problem.

No pedestal here.

Get off the motorcycles dumb asses.
