Sad final meeting with horse, yet truly heartwarming
[link to www.bbc.co.uk]

nurses arranged for dying woman to have final goodbye with her beloved horse outside the hospital where she was being looked after.

the only person present who did not shed a tear was the terminally-ill woman because she was so happy

Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. ~

Life is about choices, you get to make them each and every day of your life. ~

Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.~

Only in America... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poloi' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.~

“When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. This is because the hand that gives is above the hand that takes. Financiers are without patriotism and without decency.”

If you're not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you're not a conservative at forty you have no brain.

And strange as it may sound, I imagine it gave her horse some peace too. Animals can tell when someone is sick or dying, so at least she knew that her "Mom" still loved her and that it was nothing that the horse had done to cause her to be gone for so long.

5 Stars, OP, and thanks!

Animals do grieve and being with her friend before she died no doubt brought comfort to the horse.

Yeah, well we're not proud folk round these parts. We'll share our beds with anybody. Or anything. I'd probably draw the line at a horse, though.

I used to live round the corner in Leigh. Took my son to that hospital once.
