Bryce and our favorite ICU nurse, Liz. His miraculous improvement came ONLY after posting this thread and y'all began praying for us! I am so grateful for each and every one of you! To the few that thought I should let go and he would be in a better place... well, it was not his time! HE SHALL LIVE AND NOT DIE! AMEN! God bless you GLPers! I love you! So you don't give one bit of thanks to the hard work the nurses and doctors did to aide your son's healing? You don't think people, real people, had anything to do with his miraculous improvement? You're not grateful to the people who gave him life support, gave him medicine, ran lab tests to help the doctors know what to do next? No, you're grateful to us strangers on the internet, and you think his improvement came from posting a thread. May I suggest you go take a whole lot of classes at a university to educate yourself? About how medicine and the health care system works! What a cruel comment. The lady is with the nurses and doctors and is able to thank them in person. She isn't able to thank all the people on GLP in person. Last Edited by MySoul on 11/10/2014 10:34 AM What choice do I have but to be myself? Everyone else was already taken. We thank God you were able to help Bryce. We thank God for He is the source of all healing. . . . this thread will live on in our hearts long after today. May all who contribute with love, reap love. Dear SL, THANKS for letting us be part of Bryce's recovery. And now - on to solid food soon? That young man may be hungry!! Funny you should mention food... he can only whisper right now, but let me tell you, he was whispering loudly for food! He was so hungry! They told him he could have anything he wanted. He smiled and asked, "May I please have a chicken caesar salad?" Liz, wonderful Liz, had a giant salad sitting before him 15 minutes later. Love is the highest form of spiritual warfare. |

TheSignsOfTheTime.com User ID: 45141770 United States 11/10/2014 11:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Praise God. Satan is real, but Jesus Christ is Lord and has the Name above all Names. As for Satan, he perhaps did not prevail in this encounter. However, he is still the God of this world until Jesus returns. We know from Ephesians 6 to maintain the Full Armor of God and that the battle is lifelong. The stronger the Christian's influence in this world, the more devious the fiery darts. Christians are instructed to be "wise as serpents, and harmless as doves" (Matt 10:6) and to be continous in prayer (1 Thess 5:17). As for your son, may he walk with the Lord, particularly now that he has had the opportunity to experience first-hand His awesome power. As for the role of the healthcare staff, to be clear, they deserve huge kudos for their work, of course. That being said, for those skeptics who doubt it, be assured that the Christian prayer warriors on this board would be praying for the medical staff who were at work on this young man during surgery and post-op. I know I certainly did. |

Quoting: I weep for you 65012187 You are so delusional that you think your telepathic thoughts were received by some invisible deity who then decided to save this boy. You Christians, on this thread, are thieves. You have stolen the respect and thanks you should have given to the hospital staff and attributed it to your God just so you can say, “Look what my God did!” You are the “Thieves in the night” (sic). Rather than “praying” to your God and thanking him, why not make a donation of time/money to the hospital and the staff that really saved him? You are a disgusting bunch of Christian hypocrites and you should be ashamed to call yourself human. I weep for you. Weep for yourself . |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 64159582 United States 11/10/2014 11:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Great to read that the young man will recover--prayer works. For the OP--I understand your relief--2 years ago I was in a similar situation with my own son. God bless you. Yesterday, as I about to post on this thread (about noon) we got word that a nephew was in a horrific motorcycle accident at the Lake Mead Rec area. He was taken by Flight for Life to the trauma center in LV. Within an hour the waiting room was filled with family and friends. In a short time an elderly black women came in and offered prayer-we gathered in a large circle-and she prayed--and prayed. We did not know whether he was going to live, and if he did there was a strong possibility of brain damage. One of his buddies that saw the two fly off the road said they flew about 600 feet--no bullshit. My nephews helmet cracked and fell off. He has compound fractures. His buddy on another crotch rocket is missing some leg bone fragments--it could not look worse. We left the Hospital around midnight--after my wife and I were allowed in to see him (the first in the group). This 28 year old, strong young man had his head strapped down with a bolt sticking out of his head for pressure monitoring. They had to do an external wiring job on one arm to hold it together. The nurse monitoring him (sitting about 5 feet from his bed) said that she was going to cut off the sedatives to see if he would wake up or move. Within a couple minutes (I had a hand on his shoulder and another on his hand and talking to him) he woke--he had a look of being startled. As I was telling him he was going to be OK the nurse said loudly to give a thumbs up--and he DID. Then the nurse turned the sauce back on and he was out like a light. After a wreck that should have killed him, it looks like he may have slightly reduced movement in one arm. I believe in God and I believe in prayer. May God bless all of you. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 51619896 United States 11/10/2014 12:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What Jesus says: Matthew 17:20 … For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you. John 14:13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Matthew 7:9-11 Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! About Jesus: Matthew 15:30 Great crowds came to him, bringing the lame, the blind, the crippled, the mute and many others, and laid them at his feet; and he healed them. |
