A LARGE group of police have begun searching a man near the back entrance of the Marriott Hotel, just minutes after US President Barack Obama departed.

The man appears to have been ordered to remain in the area, while police talk to him and document his belongings on the ground.

Several of the items appear to be pieces of paper, photographs or cardboard, which police have photographed.

The man’s belongings appeared to contain what looked like a clear plastic box that contained electronics of some kind, as well as a plastic bag filled with what looked like various foreign currencies.
